  • wow...religion is a waste of time

  • @sleeplessmind haha, have you taken the time to research this (shamanism), understand it, and experience it yourself? I'm guessing not.

The only reason you and many other unfortunate people out there today believe religion is a waste of time is because of the mistakes of the most popular religions and some tiny cults. It really shows how ignorant you are that your view was shaped by only the most prominent or perverted religious beliefs.... of course the abrahamic religions are trash....

  • @magicalhearingman "I'm guessing not." - keep guessing... what a surpise? one of the faithful wants to make a baseless assumption. props to you for keeping senseless tradition alive

"mistakes of the most popular religions and some tiny cults"- this is not the only reason. i fundamentally disagree with religion from an epistmelogical and empirical stance. the little good that religion does (in a sociological sense) is overshadowed by their need to indoctrinate and misappropriate morality

  • @sleeplessmind Lmao!! keep wishing your a revolutionary. Atheism is the ultimate conformity. Saying that there isn't a single male omniscient being in the clouds ruling us isn't exactly ground-breaking LOL. How about you go do some real spiritual research and most importantly GET SOME EXPERIENCE. Without experience you are nothing. And you have no experience :D

  • @magicalhearingman i guess you can't help yourself. your response is nothing but assumpitons and ad hominem fallacies. but i am curious- why would you even respond if you have nothing to argue? is it the need to have the last ____?

  • @sleeplessmind lol "is it the need to have the last ____?" how hypocritical. Face the facts that you know nothing about real spirituality. Maybe once your boner for atheism goes away you'll be able to think clearly.

  • @magicalhearingman you are funny. you've written down 1000+ words and have managed to say absolutely nothing. you should go into politics

  • i dont know bout you guys but when i read duel i think of something a lot more exciting than this

  • to clear all doubts this seems to be in western nepal (figured out their accent).A 'magar' tribe and the ones clanging the "jhyamtas" and beating the "damphus" are not lamas but are shamans known locally as "jhankris" pronounced jhyakris.

the objective of all this is to scare the spirit of the departed into the nether world if it is indeed a funeral. However it could also be part of a local festival.

  • Very informative and interesting! ( I think this ritual was somewhere in Nepal or China or such)

  • thanks for posrting

  • lamas--related to camels tha live in the andes.

llamas-people who are holy men in tantric traditions sim to tibetan buddhists

  • You have them reversed.

  • atlanteans:)

  • docu of high value

    great

  • I was not talking about crime - sometimes people don't like outsiders viewing their personal rituals - it is out of their control once it is on you tube. I trust you had permission from them to post.

  • It is not a personal rituals, it is fact of our country but it was suppressed by rulers. On behalf of these people I thanked him who posted this clip. I want wide exposure of real world. You don't worry about getting permission. Each of them will be happy and feel proud.

  • this kind of argum is pure n 100% trsut n believe....

  • i like that it is a death memorial ceremony and they are dancing and making all this noise like "HEY THIS PERSON WAS HERE!!!!" way better than a somber mourning

  • these peeps are Gurung in Nepal. i think those are himalayan mountains with the snow stuff. those two shamans outfits look mad tibetan tho. viva umbrella guy 4ever!!!

  • Yes, although we north/south AmIndians and Asians are the same race, these are not Peruvian Indians!

  • Machu Pichu?

  • It is not Macchu Picchu, the Llamas are not present.

However it is a nice video and informative. I loved it

  • Hector why are you saying there is no Lamas at Machu Pichu?

  • I guess you missunderstood. There are some people claiming this video is in Macchu Picchu. All I am saying is "if you don't see the llamas or Alpakas, obviously THE VIDEO is not in Macchu Picchu"

  • maybe they just didn't film lamas maybe it is Macchu Picchu

  • i think that's in peru, due the landscape.

  • wowy!!!!

  • This very powerful! Where is this ritual taking place?

  • This is really interesting stuff. They allowed you to video this?

  • They are not doing any crime. Anyone can take photos or video. These are western Nepal's people. These are their religion. Even Hindu ruler ruled long long but aboriginal people of Nepal are carrying on their religion and culture. I am so proud watching this video. You will feel in deep if your ancestor lived in such way.
