Jap cars are pitiful. Nissan is retarded. Skylines think they're good, but they aren't. Think about it. Most Skylines HAVE to be modded in order to race against a BMW. BMW is better because even if it's a 5.0 V10, it's impressive for 500 stock horsepower. If you can mod the M5, the result would be even greater. Try putting the M3 GTR against a Nissan Skyline GTR.

BTW, the new GTR produces over 500 HP in V8 form. The upcoming supra will be even more potent with a V10 under the hood.

I may not know about the GT-R V8, but if it makes 500 HP, a turbo is maybe involved to grant such power unless the engine has a high displacement. For the Supra, it is unsure if it will come out or not. Most likely, it would be called the Lexus LF-A. The V10 is F1 inspired similar to the BMW M5 M6. It is also unsure when the BMW Z10 will come out, making that car more potent than the Supra.

Sure, they maybe equal in some ways. But remember, the Skyline is a GT-R, whereas a BMW M5 is not. Skyline GTRs have an advantage due to stripping many unnecessary parts to make the car as light as possible and to make room for modifications. You must also note that the M5 is a 4 door sedan with many luxury items that put weight on the vehicle. You must know how great M5 is by it's performance for such a heavy stock car.

I'm the skyline owner, after ive passed the m5, i took my foot of the gaspedal and waited for him to get up next to me so we could race, but he drived up behind me and then passed me on the inside (as you can see on the video), and this hole time I was slowing down my skyline.

The M5 would of won the race, but not that easy, 411hk 536nm in skyline, and yes its an gts-t -95.

1 more thing for the transmission question the skyline r34 uses an getrag transsmision the one that bmw uses too but a bmw could newer compare to an gtr only 1 bmw has been build that could stand it and its bmw m3 GTR racing version (a street version was newer build)

The 2,6 liter Skyline engine is capable of 650 HP without opening the engine... That says it all!

The M6 cannot stand 650 horsepower, or the transmission will break down!

I'd love to see a real race between a modified M5/M6 (i dont think they go over 550 Horsepower) and a modified Skyline with STOCK ENGINE internals... That would be good fun!

Well I agree that stock for stock the M5 has him. Most Skyline owners dont stay stock though;) That M5 is a heavy beast, but it sure has a lot of power.
