  • You've got a beautiful voice! The only thing I can say is that consonants could be enunciated better, but other then that, incredible!

  • @JohnnyWmusic Thanks. I sound and sing a lot different than this now since I sang this years ago. Thanks for your comment!

  • marvellous... just marvellous!!

  • I actually agree with @itsbankaibitch. I mean you don't look like a flute player either, but there are plenty of people that play the flute that are very masculine. You just don't expect people like you to be tenor ones.

  • Really fantastic work man - your appearance just makes you look like the average black guy but you're totally above the average!

  • @deiteas umm that's a little racist..

  • @deiteas - YIKES, talking about prejudice!! But...wait wait, you probably meant it as a compliment.

  • Nice

  • Oh my... I like this. I myself am a high tenor... on a fair day I can hit a G6, and down to an E2. On most days it's up to E6 and down to G2 though.

@bigdigger87 - At first I thought you were going to sound a lot more like one of the basses from my school, not because of the look, but because of the way the sound started, and yes, I'm posting this quite a few months late.

  • No offense at all, dude, but you do not look like a tenor 1 at all lol. You look like you'd be a bari, just based on appearance.

  • @itsbankaibitch No offense in return but you clearly have no idea what your are talking about then...there is not look to a voice type.

  • @bigdigger87 I'm aware of that. I just have typically been able to look at certain physical features of a person and guess their pitch range in the past and have been fairly accurate.

  • @itsbankaibitch Gotcha...check out the professional (Tenors) of the past and see if you can still maintain your stance. A lot of tenors have my body shape.

  • @bigdigger87 I'm not looking to maintain a stance, per se, but I will look into that. I'm actually a tenor myself and I'm 6'2, 220 (though I can perform bass just as well), so taking that into account, I guess I should rescind my initial statement. Sounding good, though!

  • @itsbankaibitch Well thank you very much, I can't sing Bass/Baritone to save my life!! LMAO! Bb3 is where I bottom out at and I am growling by A3.

  • @itsbankaibitch - so... don't take the MAN by the look. Don't take any person by the look and BE surprised.

  • just beautiful. I am a voice teacher and you are doing everything beautifully!

  • I liked this a lot, you have obviously had some training, very nice.

  • My Man!

  • I would like to take part in this event to, actually I´m a tenor from the spanish choir San Juan Bautista from Leioa, and we have sign this song recently.

I would be thankfull if you could tell me how have you done to record your voice with an stable tempo, maybe i could sign to the Tenor 1 voice too.

  • does anyone know if tenor is guys only? I mean I know obviously that tenor is traditionall a male voice, but I am an Alto II, and this is all in my range, and I'd LOVE to sing Tenor! :)

  • nice work :) very consistent :) u cud be a little louder on the top G thought - sounds a tad bit weak - i'm guessing ur more a tenor baritone than a true tenor though.

  • @such3000 Actually I am a Spinto Tenor nowadays. This video is from the very first Virtual Choir we did where I was THE VERY FIRST MEMBER!!!. lol Thanks for the feedback

  • @bigdigger87

ah k - i looked up spinto tenor cause i wasn't sure what that meant exactly but what i really meant was that ur natural range seemed tenor baritone - this doesn't mean ur not a spinto tenor though :) will u be singing in this time's sleep??

  • wow, you are amazing!

  • @fulmaress Thank you very much. This is actually from the first time we did sleep for the Virtual Choir. I will be recording a new track for the second edition soon. Thank you for watching/listening.

  • Fine voice ....Thank you

  • @mrjimhoward Thank you very much. This is actually from the first time we did sleep for the Virtual Choir. I will be recording a new track for the second edition soon.

  • i dont know much about this kinda of singing/music but that was really good.

  • I am not educated in the field of music, but upon listening to the first line I know that you are the best I have heard so far, and that includes Eric's co worker who was very polished but doesn't hold a candle to your natural talent. You have a beautiful voice.

  • @socktrooper Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate the compliment!

  • You sound like a baritenor (your middle and bottom is strong). But the dramatic tenor comes out at 3:54-4:35. Nice

  • Thank You! I actually have a very weak low register (normally). My teacher classifies me as a Full Lyric/Spinto. She is not sure which one I fit into better and that I might grow into a Dramatic voice if I keep studying and training.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Then you should be dangerous as time goes by. If you do something like Se Florinda E Fedele or Amarilli Mia Bella, look out.

  • Amarilli=win!!! Good audition piece for colleges and choirs!

  • @snare310 Medium HIGH version

  • @TSquared2001 i agree, i'm hearing baritenor too

  • Actually, you are the first 'tenor I' singing for virtual choir who is really tenor :)

  • @formsdn

lol so true - most of the others sound a little weak really. falsetto ftw?

  • oh and and try to put breath behind your voice this may help you when you need to hit the high notes. but most of all keep up the good work

  • nice but open your mouth or drop your Jaw maybe that could help but over all nice job

  • There is still time but very little I believe. Check Eric Whitaccre's blog for the official final date

  • @bigdigger87

i think we have till the end of the year.

  • Awesome.... that has to be the best video I've seen... Is there still time to post a video for the virtual choir? I would love post Bass 1 video.

  • real tenor is like, youre not halfway into the bariton range and youre not a bairtone or alto. perfectly between

    great job.

  • Wonderful job! You're what I like to call a "real tenor!"

Be on the lookout for my video to hear what a fake tenor sounds like ;)

  • Thanks...I think. LOL What do you mean by a "real tenor"?

  • Great Persistance and tonal awareness. Keep up the Good work!

    D.Z.Alex

  • Great job! I am definitely participating as well. :)

  • GREAT JOB!!!!!! =D wonderful tenor voice! never stop singing ;)

  • Great job. Once they put the parts back up, i will be joining in on this. I have never done this song, so i will have to teach my self as well. But this idea seems so fun and cool.

  • great!!!

i would like to join this virtual choir idea, but i dont have any sheet of it... would u share it? that'd be great...

  • Go to eric Whitacre's blog, check the comments under my video, and somebody said that they made the parts and recordings. Check with them

  • ur so good!

  • Wonderful voice you have! Wow! :)

I'm uploading my alto 2 part right now :)

  • Woo High five for alto 2!!

Im about to upload mine as well...

  • Thank you very much. It is much harder to sing that song when you don't have other voices to hide your breaths. I did not know that he put this video on the blog that fast.

  • I KNOW!!! its not a solo song at all!! haha especially with trying to find areas to breathe and such. BUT incredible job!!!!

  • Fantastic voice dude! (Saw this vid on Eric's blog)
