In reference to my comment below, my belief is to ultimately get rid of the State but in the short term we need a bottom up State to restructure currently institutionalized capitalist axioms.

@Marly61 If a "populace based State" is "bottom up" then why does it even need to exist? Why can't "bottom up" institutions outside of a State structure restructure the "capitalist axioms"? I think the problem libertarian socialists have with States you describe is that they tend to remain entrenched in their power, which interferes with revolutionary, democratic institutions.

What you have not mentioned is what you think the "top down" functions are. What are they for a "populace State"?

Believing the State cant change a capitalist based problem is not problematc and is being done worldwide in countries that have recognized the State is not the problem but the problem is how the State functions as a result of elite manipulation. A populace based State has to be bottom up, implying the a population is educated on this, not top down. I am sure you guys know this so please inform me of why, around the world, a bottom up State is not your solution when it is working albeit recently.
