  • @PazouwhProductions Thanks. It would be great as a choral song.

  • Awesome, very talented. My Grandpa used to play the fiddle for me when I was young. I am going to get a new guitar soon. Maybe you drop some tips for me. :)

  • @duvexy Thanks for your comment. What kind of tips are you looking for?

  • @raymondcrooke I don't know yet, I have not picked up my guitar yet. Where can I get some tabs though?

  • @duvexy I don't know anything about tabs. i just play chords.

  • Thanks for posting the history of these old songs, we have sung them for years without an idea of how they originated. Great job Raymond.

  • You're welcome. I always think knowing the background to a song adds something to our enjoyment of it.

  • My dad and uncle use to sing this together. Thanks for the post! t:)

  • You're welcome. It's a great song for singing together.

  • Well done!

  • Thanks.

  • I love this song! Great version!

  • Thanks. It was fun to do.

  • Cool fiddling!

My mom used to sing this around the house. Dan tucker and Old Joe Clark and Clementine are the kind of songs that got me turned on to folk music at a young age. Tryin' to get my young mind around a guy combing his hair with a wagon wheel and dying of a tothache in his heel....

  • Thanks, Archie. Always good to get your feedback.

  • love this song *******

  • Doesn't mean much, but it's a catchy song. Thanks for listening.

  • Fabulous Raymond!

    JeanaDylan83

  • Thanks, Jeana. Well, it was tricky playing guitar and fiddle at the same time. : -)

  • You often give such deep insight into the songs that you perform. Songs that we take for granted, have such a rich history. Thank you for very cleaver show.

    Alex

  • Thanks, Alex. This one was fun to do,

  • I remember learning this song in third grade from "Little House on the Prairie." This performance is fantastic.

  • Thanks. Glad you liked it.
