  • very cool!

  • was that mike saying touch the bottom of the plasma globe

  • This is a Bill Parker edition of "Sleepless NIghts" . I still work very closely with Bill and we just made one of these last week for a new customer. This is my favorite and god knows I have handled hundreds!!

  • Not often you get to see "the rope", lovely sphere!

  • hello, how is it and there is one large slow moving arch and not many small fast ones? i think it's beautiful! can you please tell me if you sell it, or where i can buy one like this?

    Thank you!

  • He's basically an experimental hobbyist and does not sell them.

the slow moving large arc has something to do with the settings of the electrical system on this one, rather than being a characteristic of the gasses. Since I'm NOT the person making them, that's all I know.

  • Thank you so much for the answer!

  • not really. the arc moves slow becaise its low pressure

  • The slow moving single arc is created by using a custom gas mixture that is at a total pressure much lower than average. Most plasma globe tendrils move faster because they are filled with gas at about two to four times the pressure in this globe. I will contact you with info on where you might find a globe like this one. Mike D.

  • Hi Mike! thanks for the information!

  • This globe was actually designed by Bill Parker and filled at his shop in the 1980s. I just fixed it up with some electronics so we could see the image. Mike

  • WOW nice long arcs
