Great video. Last year I hand caned (3) seats with the synthetic cane for a boat and it took about 16 hours each seat. The pre-woven cane looks to be quicker and just as nice! I will try it out next time. Thanks.

Thanks so much for posting this video. Excellent instruction. Just finished caning a pair of shutters for the inside of house. Only prob. I had was finding out that the rattan had begun to creep off in one direction - just marginally. I was concentrating so hard - it happened before I knew it. Once again thank you for your help.

Very nice job! Thank yout for sharing. One question: Is each wire of the prewoven cane glued on the other wires or just the pressure of the arrange that keeps all together?

Apply PVA wood glue into the groove after the rattan has been pressed in, allow to settle, then tap the cane spline into the groove, Wipe off any excess water and glue. This will keep it all together. Good Luck my fellow wicker worker!

Great presentation and clear videos. I'm actually looking on how to make the weave on chairs with holes around the perimeter, which is the case on mine. Hopely you'll have one in the future. Good job man!
