This song has me crying right now at 3:15 a.m. My Grandma is in a hospital right now and we dont have much more time with her!!! I love this song, it will be played at my Grandmother's funeral!! She is so tired she wants to go be with my Grandpa in Heaven and dance with the Angels and Get to see the Beautiful God!!!!! Gosh Iam going to miss her!!! Thank you for putting this on here!!!

Was this really recorded in 1994? I thought Billy Elliot was recorded much more recently than that. Like around 2000 or 2002. Thanks! Love this song!

I don't think this actually has anything to do with Billy Elliot at all. The movie didn't even come out until 2000, and the musical came out in 2005 I think. This song isn't in either.

The description says that this song was written for Billy Elliot but was cut from the list of songs. This is supposedly the only demo out there of this song though. But if it were recorded for Billy Elliot it was definitely recorded recently...atleast more recently than 1994, lol. So yeah, I don't know either, lol.

In the description it says it was from 2004... so I don't know, lol. That is when Billy Elliott was made, around that time. This was supposedly cut out of the list of songs for the musical :)

This song was actually rehearsed on stage, I'm told, but then cut as the role of Billy's grandma changed.

If you've ever seen Tantrums and Tiara's...elton visits his grandmother (who seemed to have been a VERY sweet woman). And that same year she dies...and later on in the video he dedicates his award to her and talks about how that was the last time he saw her. This song makes me think of that scene...it's such a sweet song. And I'm sure he was thinking of her as he wrote the music to these Lyrics and recorded it. What a sweet song...it makes me tear up too. Elton's the best! A beautiful song! :)
