BUT THEY ARE BOTH AWESOME! Comparing them is a mistake. 24 is an action thriller throughout all 8 seasons with little to no humor at all and characters that would be pretty bland if they weren't played by great actors. Burn Notice has humor, romance, a great story and tons of thrills along the way. Jack Bauer is a much more serious character in a much more serious storyline, but all in all Burn Notice has cooler and better written characters. Nothing else to say.

Sam fisher is trained to perfection, and always follows his mission to the letter, where as, most situations jack gets into, it results to a gunfight, and his mission changes according to his opinion, but in the end, all of them are patriots.

Jack Bauer although exaggerated is WAY more realistic. He faces threats and he makes his own decision based on his experience and his instincts. The emotional toll on him is shown and he doesn't pretend like nothing happened etc, there are consequences to his actions and he got thrown is prison, tortured etc. While I like Burn Notice it's like fun and games for Mike, he does the "client job" and is always successful while managing not to kill anyone, in real like that's BS.

@princepersia1 How is Jack Bauer more realistic? I'm pretty sure everyone would be pretty emotional if they've been through what Jack Bauer has been through throughout 24. I mean his wife died, he saw tons of his friends die, and he's had to kill hundreds of people in his life, which is NOT very realistic already. Kiefer Sutherland is a great actor and plays Jack very well, but Michael Weston is just plain cooler. Burn Notice isn't just an action thriller, it has a bit of everything.

I mean he lives in Miami and from what we've established people know him and what he does. Don't you think that word might go out to the "bad guys" he's hurt? In 24 it's much more realistic, people die and he has to do things he doesn't want to, that's how real life is, maybe his living through all of it is a bit unrealistic but more than BN.

If you've been following Burn Notice at all you would know that Management has been protecting Michael for the majority of the show from those very enemies he's made so Michael stays alive. My guess is you've seen one or two burn notice episodes and then decided 24 was better because it was more serious.

Yeah, the great thing was that the whole thing (Fi punching out Mike like that) was completely unscripted and come up with on-the-spot by Gabrielle Anwar. Even Jeffrey Donnovan was surprised by it, but he just went with it and it turned out to be one of the best scenes in the episode.

Still, my personal favorite so far has to be the episode where Michael takes on the guise of Louis Cypher, the man in the red-and-black suit... *snap*
