  • Your demos and reviews have been very helpful. Are you planning to do a review of the Glidetrack 'MobiSlyder'. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks again.

  • Man! this is a nice piece of art, well done!!, I dont know if my T1i can do that what lens were you using?

  • @drumat5280 I thought you couldn't use ccmixter for commercial use, arent you a partner?

  • Nicely done; I am getting one in the mail this week and am planning on making a video based around the snake river. I have a question though. I want to achieve the vertical shots. What ball head did you use ?

  • Very nice work on this!!

  • Dave because of your videos I have learned SO much. I appreciate ALL the hard work you do into putting out these videos. Thank you from San Diego!

  • @drumat5280 What are some of the perks you have found using the picture style you have as opposed to using a "super-flat" picture style?

  • Are you a musician? I noticed that your shots cut on the down beat.

  • @GreenLiteProductions yes I play drums!

  • @drumat5280 That's awesome! I've been playing for 20 years. Are you gonna post any videos of you playing?

  • Great work - thanks for sharing

  • Hi Dave, lovely job. Great images, great cinematic quality and that music works so well. Nick.

  • Hi Dave,

I must say this is video is my favorite of yours when it comes to style of shoot. I have a question on how to use a tri pod with the slider. I have an indi slider but i fail to balance it with the tri pod it cant handle the weight (when in tripod) when the slider is at the corners. Please suggest a solution thanks

  • Hi Doug,

I've been following your videos very well and I would say your work is inspirational. I want to ask what Video editor Software do you use and what settings do you use for the picture style...Do you lessen the contrast and sharpness or you boost them?

I will really appreciate your help.

    Cheers,

    Rene from Anguilla...

  • This is really amazing.

  • What lens was that guy using in the video at 0:09?

  • What lens was seen at :09?

  • What lens was seen at 0:09?

  • Really great job, Dave. I love my Konova and feel it is one of the best "bang for the buck" deals I have ever found. I have been working on timing with my slides to get them all at least close. You have done a great job with that here. I see they are selling the motors for the Konova now so, I will likely get one and stop practicing. ;)

  • How long did that time lapse at the end take you? Looks like it would have been a pain because it's manual.

  • @TheLukeSchiltz about 20 minutes.

  • So is this music royalty free?

  • I wish I could afford a nice camera

  • Dave, I have a quick question about filming with the Canon Rebel series. When filming, do you normally switch out SD cards or do you have a single Micro SD card with a lot of space. Shooting at 720p at 60fps for an example.

  • @alex20productions It would be inconvenient to have many small cards than just having one big enough card.

  • @alex20productions mostly just a single 32gig card.

  • Your so good Dave!! I love all your videos man.

  • hey dave are you using any nd filter in this video??

  • @krazyeknine57 sorry I can't remember.

  • @drumat5280 how to apply nd filters on DSLRs ? am kinda new :)

  • lovley video mate

  • Is it smooth?

  • hey doug how did you get that timelapse with slider at the end? Did you attach some kind of motor to your slider?

  • The music is sexy.

  • Excellent cam motion Dave, it looks professional and movie-like I'm thinking about getting one now, I already have a Tokina 11-16mm, its fantasic. Now that I selected a slider I'm searching for a Cam mount boom, know any good ones?

  • super smooth film - good review of the Konova Slider too - thank you!

  • Hey dave i was wondering, how do u put your slider on the tripod?

  • Hey Dave the scene when you did the time lapse while moving. How did you do that?

  • Hi Dale,

This video is lovely...What did you use for the time lapse? Did you use a motor with intervalometer to sync with the time lapse?

Do you have an idea where to get one?

    Thanks much!

  • Hey Dave, I have a couple questions that would really help me with my DSLR.

    1) What tripod head do you use to connect the slider to the tripod?

    2) What software did you use for the crisp slow motion shots of the golf ball? Do you use anything like Twixter or did you just slow it down in Final Cut?

    3) What do you recommend for compressing high resolution video from a DSLR? I use a Canon 60D and video files are pretty big.

  • Splendid!!!

  • Videos fuckin beautiful

  • What slider size did you use?

  • great job Dave, I love your video. I am a huge fan of yours, keep the good work.

  • Dave, so was this shot on Canon 7D with Tokina 16 mm lens ?

  • @nefirious I shot it on the Canon T2i.

  • @nefirious All canon DSLR's have the same video mode, just one may have a bigger sensor than the other.

  • Dave, I got a slider from Konova, the longer one. However, it is shakey when sliding. Not as smooth as yours. Even when I use a 24mm vs my 70mm lens. This is so wierd. I even got a replacement head from Konova. Is it possibly due to the length of mine too long and the long one has defect?

Also, the base of the slider where the tripod head screws onto, is fit on tight, but when i put the head on the base, i have a little play in the mounting, even tho the head is on as tight as possible... :'(

  • You should be on commission from Konova, great job!

  • Nice video!

How did you make the last timelapse shot?

  • Hi, i would like to buy one of this slider but i'm thinking what size is best for wedding videographer? theres 23,36,40,47 do you have any idea about this..

    thnx..

  • Very talented individual, thank you for the videos.

  • I have a question concerning this slider and all sliders in general really.

How do you keep such perfect focus?

    Small Apertures?

    Manual focus?

    Remote focus?

  • Hi Dave,

What did you use for color correction? Do you have a tutorial up on video HDR? Couldn't find one.

    Nice videos btw...

  • How easy or difficult is it to get these steady shots?

  • LOL.... Never mind. I just noticed for the first time that you have credits at the end of the video. Just as an explanation so you dont think I am a total dork. I usually have the video play in the back ground while I write papers or edit movies so :-)

    Awesome work sir....

  • Pleeeeeas tell me what music this is you have on this video. I'v watched this vid countless times just cuz of that music.

  • hi dave! i just got my slider yesterday. You shot the clips in 60fps right? did you slow it down to 24fps during editing? Could you give me any tips on how to use this slider more efectively? thanks! I would really appreciate your reply!

  • does any one knows the name of this SONG???

  • Hi dave, i really like your videos, and i have a couple of questions

    1) whats the slider you use at 0:10?

    2) i see you use a manfrotto head, do you know anything about the Velbon CX 686?

    3) have you ever used the OmniTracker?

    bye bye!

  • @miticomarci I have the slider listed on my gear page.

  • @miticomarci It says Konova slider

  • Hey would you suggest this slider for timelapse photography?

  • @dragonknightsages not really unless you put a motor on it.

  • That Song Is?

  • Hey Dave! that was pretty awsome! ... which are the settings that you use to export this video?

    regards from Chile!...

  • Hey Dave looks amazing! May I ask what FPS this was shot at?

  • @drumat5280 Is it made slower in editing?

  • Amazing Video! Ordered one today. Can't wait to create. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • What camera is that?

  • @TheNickFlowers Canon T2i I have it listed on my Gear page.

  • AWESOME.

  • It is hard to tell how 'smooth' it is unless you are watching at 100%. The consistency of the slide to me the most important thing... I really want a motorized one. Any recommends?

  • Nice work Dave. How's that slider doing doing now? Still smooth? Any problems after months of use?

  • @laughingcrows going well sometimes I have to put so WD40 on the rails.

  • @PrimeRecordzStudio /watch?v=xJgQkOBC_P0

  • You just convinced me to get this lens, amazing video.

  • Dave how did you do that timelapse at the end while moving the slider?

  • Dave, do you have a tutorial on how to slowmo the original 60p film and then convert it to 24p for the cinematic look?

  • @litoazmitia yes do a search on my site for slow motion

  • I dunno why, but I love slider shots. It just has this smooth coolness to it. Loved Luke Neumann's slider vids. This one is great as well. :)

  • That was great. Honestly it's really exciting to see how far you've come. All of the shots look amazing and the editing was great. Keep it up, would love to see more videos like this from you.

  • Wow just really good... I really love the dramatic shots and hope to get a slider of my own someday (or build one) . How much is this slider, Dave?

  • @kev550D It is around $300 which I think is the cheapest one with bearings.

  • You captured the scenery great! Now that you've had some time to try out this slider, how do you feel about the length? (slide range)

  • @Knoptop Hey Dave, with the lens I was using I don't think I ever used the entire length. That surprised me.

  • Your Timelapse trick seemed to work out pretty well

  • Nice work Dave... Did you shoot @ 60fps?

  • @Fibr3Optix most of it was.

  • Wow that was amazing!!! Nice work!

  • Awesome Video!!!

  • This is TOO awsome.... should be a law against it.

  • Dave, I like all your videos: the candid way you aproach to your process of learning and testing things.

Let me tell you this......WTH!!!! The results are absolutely amazing! Wow.. if I don't buy anything like it, I'll start looking DIY ways of getting this kind of footage.

    Thanks!

  • wow

  • That last timelapse slider is superb!! Very nice!!

  • @uglyrhinodotcom I have some really cool ideas for what I want to do next. One of them is to backward engineer commercials and movie trailers and create spoofs of them showing how I did it.

  • Dave this the first video I actually liked! Keep it up.

  • @tongannewsnetwork thanks!

  • @tongannewsnetwork you bum, you should have liked all of his other useful and informative videos too, lol

  • dave this is so great

  • Totally love it espceially the last shot where it's like Time-lapse. You shot this with Tokina 11-16? Any other lens?

  • These shots are amazing! Nice job.

  • Dave this is awesome! Now my new favorite video of yours! : )

Nice atmosphere created using sound and landscapes.
