When they say at the start of this clip on the intro "as a tribute to Kenneth Williams who died last month"... it hit me that he has died. He is still as funny and his voice stil permeates that he hasn't died in many peoples minds.
I know what you mean I feel exactly the same way, I think when we admire someone as greatly as this we want to keep them alive, and they always will be really cos they are in our hearts and the screen keeps them alive aswell, such a lovely man deserved a better life, such a shame, but it seems behind some or most of these great comic legends is not such a funny story. :-(
'The Kenneth Williams Diaries' (Wednesday 8 June 1983) 'At 7.30 to Boot pub where we filmed the 'Signora' & 'Hawkin' me greens'. The pub was full of undesirables...and a gaggle of queens who made several esoteric remarks while cameras were rolling!
'The Kenneth Williams Diaries' (Tuesday 7 June 1983) 'Today is the start of this awful filming job. Walked to Cromer St. We did shots outside the block. In the afternoon we did the stuff in Sandwich Street - dirty bloomers - and then on to Duke St Drill Hall, shots in Woburn Walk & Euston Road & St Pancras Church and then to the school in Camden St. Shots in the playground with children which I didn't know they were taking! I was just chatting away to the children.'

Thanks for posting, shame about the blue screens!
My favourite KW quote: "People are becoming more and more expert in less and less", so true!

Ken is brilliant in this. I like the light blue jacket he wears in this. Loving the songs in the pub.
