  • A carbon cap ..... Would kill millions... throttling back pollution = throttling back production = less jobs = increased debt = increased violence. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands who would starve to death as a result of less food... But this video is right, there are too many humans alive, a carbon cap would fix that, but call it what it is, and drop the veil of pro-environment

  • Do it.

7 Dollars a gallon will force more deisel engines and hybrids....less dependent on terrorist oil.

My freedom to live > your greed with SUV's

  • A tax wont hurt the corporations they will just ration it down to the consumer! Making the poor and middle classes pay! It is not a solution but another problem! Boycott this proposal! Dont let the government strip away the constitution!

  • Ummm yeah a tax is really going to make the problem go away...now that's funny.

  • if you agree with this video

    kill yourself

  • And magic monkeys will fly outa my butt if I just wish hard enough!

  • Yes! let's label one of the most important compounds neccesary to life on earth as a pollutant and try to cap it with huge taxes that will destroy the last remaing bit of Americas manufactureing while not lowering any co2.

  • It will cost THEM or it will cost CONSUMERS? This is basic economics that EVEN Nazi Pelosi and Prince Reid should understand, or maybe they do an just don't care.

Even worse, some of you idiot Democrats still support them. Do you really fall for this nonsense?

  • Make a graph of people who are resistant to climate research findings vs. those who believe in the biblical flood literally and you will see a 1:1 correlation. I'm just saying, like chess, you can't play against someone who doesn't know the rules.

  • One other thing to consider is the Nasa study that mentions that the whole solar system is in a warming trend. I wonder what that study doesn't get more media attention? Just google "Nasa solar system warming trends."

  • overall warming if indeed is happening, also produces warm spots over our oceans that in turn produces more water vapor . this water vapor then travels over land drenching it with life giving water. this explains why the little warming period was amongst the most prolific in all recorded history with a significant rise in temperature over a shorter time span than our small rise is projected for the next 100 years.......

  • what studies done by who funded by who??? anywho the more important players in this game other than humans and our 5% contribution to a gas that has very little to do with climate change (water vapor is worse) is our erratic orbit around the sun, and varibles such as sun spots. Rotting vegetable matter(trees algae bushes leaves etc.) has more to contribute that man. not to mention the earths own erratic orbit on it's own axis. mars is experiencing the same thing as us with no human activity.

  • this whole notion that we have this much power is arrogant. we are but ant's in comparison to the amount of co2 generated by the planet itself. it's a ponzi scheme to rob from the rich who on an individual basis do not pollute as much as people in 3rd world nations who still burn wood for heat. natural gas is 23 times more powerfull as a "warming " gas so we owe it to ourselves to use as much as it as possible so it's converted to harmless co2 that will feed our farms and our bellies.

  • pleas read up on the midevil warming period you will be suprised at the amount of lies thrown at you everyday to convince you that your lifestyle ( the product of thousands of years of improvement is wrong) . HOw can thousands of years of evolving technology be wrong things get better with age (to a point with humans) but not so with machines. we are improving our lifestyle every day with use of fossil fuels were we could not do even a century before.

  • epic fail.

  • If you want to cap carbon then cap it. Don't include the trade part. The trade is for people to make billions like Al Gore is trying to do. If you really want to cap it then, JUST CAP IT and forget the trade part. If you support cap and TRADE then you just want another source of income for the elite.

  • Charging us to use air sounds like a great capitalist idea. Great, now air won't even be free. Damn that al gore!

  • it is a good idea....

  • Screw carbon credit bullshit Al Gore trying take all our money and we get crums

  • So, if windmills are so GREAT, why are we paying China to build them, and keeping THEIR workers employed? Also, why did the Democratic elite in Massachusettes vote NOT to have them built on their coast because they are an "Eye sore" This carbon cap is bull and is nothing but another stage of socialism taxing the Capitolists

  • If only it were that simple! The whole taxing carbon debate summed up in 20 secs! What brillance! Sign me up.

  • So after the US have made the whole of latín América surrender into their oil monstrous business now it will set us free and make us greener? Are you serious? Where's the catch? Why all thos arrows coming out of the US to the world? Is that taxes they will charge for the use of renovable energy? Oh cmon

  • In the wake of climategate, why is this a "featured video?" Who is making the bucks off of this propoganda?

And we thought the CAPITALISTS were capitalistic! ... :P. LOL

  • @schstudios you tube has no place taking sides on this and pushing one over the other to have integrity you must remain neutral. of course of the $300million al gorini is using to brain wash the public they must be getting their cut.

  • How much does Iceland owe for being way over their carbon limit? This video is moronic, created by special interests to further their agenda by taxing Capitalism.

  • It should actually be labeled, "This is how a Carbon Cap MIGHT work", let's be realistic here, little ever works when put into production as expected.

  • Me guusto mucho

  • Great. More "green" propaganda. What a huge money maker this crap is for tax and spend libbs. Once these limits take place when will they stop?! They already wanna monitor the trash that comes outta my house and the lights I have on! It's 1984 "green" style

  • This whole green thing is a HUGE money maker. PERIOD. If you think otherwise you have been taken for. Canvas Bags, movies from hollywood morons, hybrid this, tax that, regulatory laws, new products, etc. Open your eyes.

  • What propoganda!! This is just another tax for regular Americans. CLIMATE CHANGE IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST LIES WE HAVE Been told.

I WILL KEEP MY FREEDOM, YOU CAN KEEP YOUR CHANGE!!!!!

  • Good

  • Spot in bigbrojon!

  • What kind of dipfuck thinks this way!! It was CHEAP ENERGY that made America great, you want to stop burning oil? Build CLEAN, EFFICENT, NUCLEAR POWERPLANTS. Dumb ass hippies think that nuke power is unsafe? Look at France "moonbeam"!!!

  • Speed limits are punished by criminal sanction. Thanks for the comparrison though. That's what THIS will be too. All you kids sitting in class listening to Al Gore will be told it is great. Your parents will be cursing the day he was born!

...."you know THIS sign, but do you know This one?": you mean a stop sign in my shower? On my Air conditioner? Oh wait, you mean a HUGE TAX on it, right?

If I had an electric car, it would cost a shitload to charge when I plug it in, so would I be fined??

  • Grow up and look what you are doing here. Listen to yourself. You cannot be over the age of thirteen! It's all great while YOU do not have to pay any bills. Wait until YOU have to support yourself and pay your own bills. You will pay 70% in taxes (local-state-federal, sales, etc) and on top of that you will get a $3000 electric bill every month, pay $10 a gallon for gas (unless you get a $40,000 electric car with a range of 50 miles). When you PLUG IN YOUR CAR, that will cost a FORTUNE!

  • if you want the carbon cap then you want to tax the power companies....then in turn what will they do? pass the buck to YOU......ready to pay 2-4 times your current going rate? muhahahhaha

  • @tweakinreaper

Maybe the answer lies in government facilities for this extra 'cost' to the companies? Or tax concessions? If companies can form a collective method for pollution management, then I bet there is a good chance for economically viable solutions. IF there is a will to do that, in the first place. Everybody's problem is no body's problem. So far, we have 'benefitted' from the cheaper prices of polluting processes. What would we do with our savings when half our faces are paralyzed?

  • @shiva4ever just shut the fuck up. I wish I could find the replies that you sent me, but I guess they are not public. P.S. Eat a dick!

  • @kylextown24

OK, I don't know what is wrong with you, but a few things certainly are. All my posts are here, but you are too much on medication or summin. And sorry, I do not share your tastes, but you are welcome to eat that stuff as much as you want. Heaven knows that could be the reason you are so filthy tongued! Talk about smelly!!!!

  • @tweakinreaper

Nope, actually the bills that have been proposed would cost the average household less than a postage stamp per day in extra costs according to the CBO, EPA, and EIA.

  • Soon we will be addicted to to green energy

  • @dharman19662u There is NO SUCH THING as "green energy"! No matter what you do, there is some process involved that is destructive to the environment. Windmills kill huge numbers of birds (including the endangered ones).

Solar is not good enough and only works in the day, in the sun.

batteries are made from VERY TOXIC stuff.

Electricity is only "clean" when it is not generated by anything!

Electric cars would SINK the power grid. Imagine everyone PLUGGING INTO THE POWER GRID for every 50 miles?

  • If AGW were really caused by the burning of fossil fuels, how would a tax help?

Wouldn't the smart thing be to stop all production of fossil fuels? Trust me if we pull it from the earth we will burn it, whether today tomorrow or 10 years from now is inconsequential to the climate. Carbon taxes will do absolutely nothing to help. Also, since CO2 is heavier than air, how does AL Gore explain its effect on the upper atmosphere? Or does gravity not work in his world?

  • Dear World:

We the people of the United States have decided that we don't like being wealthy or being an economic superpower, therefore, we have elected a no-growth marxist who wants to make us "equal" to the rest of you. We hereby hogtie our economy, tax the hell out of ourselves, and submit ourselves to be the bitch of China or any other country who is smart enough to actually want to grow and progress. Like the European superpowers before us, we hereby Darwin ourselves out.

  • @bigbrojon1

    well said!

  • @bigbrojon1

I totally get what you say, but maybe we need to reassess this suicidal idea of 'progress'. One way could be to take the greenpeace a bit more seriously and giving our two cents to raising global awareness. I agree that one-sided tackling will do little besides creating disadvantages. It has to be collective action, free from political shenanigans.

Do I see countries like China coming on board and cooperating? NO.

Do I give up hope and stop trying? NO again.

  • @shiva4ever I agree. There are positive ways of doing this that are triple or quadruple "wins" as per one of my favorite books on the subject-- "Hot, Flat, and Crowded." My problem is that this tax, along with most other things proposed by this congress is packed with kickbacks and bribes for "Crony Capitalist" friends and punishments for enemies-- the current legislation has very little to do with the environment.

  • @bigbrojon1 It's alarming how these congressional hyenas will not spare a single chance to rape the planet! Talk about necrophiliacs!!!

Sad to hear that a real policy has such a little chance of doing some good.

Will check out the NASA thing, but why doesn't some environmentalist lobby pick that up? I am sure it will get media attention!?

  • A carbon cap is more regulation that brings us more into crony capitalism. What we need is a free market not this misguided legislation. Stop trying to infringe on my liberties as an American based on obviously now discredited climate change psuedo-science.

  • Why not tax stupidity? Then all the politicians won't be exempt anymore!

  • Yeah it will cost them ! And cost comes right down to me big Time. It will cost me a boat load a hell of allot more for me than... THEM. I say hell no find another way .!

  • It's a tax, not a 'cap' on anything... Making it's way to you're home and controlling what appliances you can have and eventually your behavior. Classic tactic of liberals (nazis, commies, socialists).

  • Energy freedom in ten years? What a joke. What's wrong with a little CO2 anyway? Have you heard that CO2 makes plants grow? Have you heard that after decades of fossil fuel consumption that the Arctic ice cap is at the same extent that it has been at for the past 30 years?

  • The Carbon Cap allows people who are Rich or Government connected to burn as much Fossil Fuel as they want. The cap limit is arbitrary also because it is unknown how much is enough. Efficiency, conservation & other sources of energy like Nuclear makes more sense.

  • See how well carbon caps work in europe then comment all you want

  • Yeah this might be true but does America need to be in more debt? Do you no how much it would cost to go green

  • If anything, this reminds me of the old "duck and cover" film.

  • if hydrogen stations were put into place, and cars had a built in hydrogen option we would use less oil. hydrogen can be made with nothing but solar and water! it's *almost* free.

  • It won't work, not to be an asshole, but if it was that easy they would have done it already...

  • fuck al gore and his fraud

  • american is not gonna do any sorta help in this, cuz they themselves are the biggest pollution makers.

  • @alex15419 Ever heard of China or India? Carbon caps in the USA won't matter at all unless these two growing industrial nations decide to play along.

  • @jreasons68 this is assuming that co2 is truly a problem to begin with check out the little warming period right before the little ice age. the industrial revolution was not even a dirty thought at that time . we have become more efficient on to of this.

  • freep3 tv/?i=48311 some good thing in here

  • Wow you are all smart ! I get all my news from the Internet and YouTube !

  • @wieseg57 / Tee Hee, Giggle Giggle.

  • @wieseg57 it's a very democratic to dissemenate information fact and opinion that is about as unbiased as you can get without dealing with the contempt of biased new media and government.

  • What a joke. Carbon caps won't make The US break free of it's addiction, it will just made America more dependent on cheaper things from other countries

  • @diognewmen are u fucking retarded? Or r u just saying the government is made of "piggies" because u think it makes u cool? And y the hell would we raise speed limits? That doesn't make any sense! And the carbon cap doesn't interfere with ur life, it just make carbon emissions cost money for industries!! So it doesn't do anything to u unless you own an industry.

  • @MrMasterofcool You know I diss 0bama all the time but at least he understands a little economics. He said that Cap and Trade will make "electricity prices skyrocket"

  • @MrMasterofcool "And the carbon tax doesn't interfere with ur life," hmmmmmm. Then quiz me this. What do you buy, that isnt shiped ,by boat ,plane, train,or truck? What industre doesn't use electricity to produce, manufacture, assemble,or create? What wearhouse or store doesn't? If the cost to ship, manufacture, and store increases so dose the overhead(cost of doing bissness) this cost is generaly passed on to the consummer. The same effect as an value added tax.

  • @vonSnook what i ment is that is doesnt directly interfere with your life. and hopefully, the carbon cap will make the industrys actually go green so that they can save money, because they know that if they increase thier prices, less people will buy thier stuff, so it makes more sense to go green instead of increase prices, thats the whole point of the carbon cap

  • @MrMasterofcool LOL "what i ment is that is doesnt directly interfere with your life." Yes, it affects every portion of your life that involves, directly or indirectly, carbon inputs. It completely alters ones consumption patterns.

"hopefully, the carbon cap will make the industrys actually go green so that they can save mone" LOL If every energy company is hit by this (which it will be), they will systematically raise the price on the consumer. REMEMBER green solutions are not economical

  • What a load of crap. Why go to cleaner methods when you can just increase your price to pay for more carbon credits. We only have one heat company, if they raise there fees, my fees increase, who's willing to stop them. Nobody so far.

  • nothing will change aslong capitalism exists on earth!

  • @hacccer1 Free market capitalism is the most dynamic system on this planet :P

  • @hacccer1 Capitalism has been dying a slow death for 100 years. Soon, Socialism will be the dominant political structure on the planet and our glorious utopia will finally come into being. Comrades, it is truly a great day to be dependant on the motherland for all our needs!

  • @Sentry353 Youre an economic "illiterate" and ....apparently... an "illiterate" when it comes to history

  • @axe863 Just because you are ignorant doesn't make me illiterate. I would be glad to provide you references on the ill use of Keynesian Ecconomics and how Capitalism and the Free Market have been distorted since the Progressive Era began in the late 1800's. Nothing is apparent it would seem comrade.

  • @Sentry353 I'm not a Keynesian economist (old or new) By engaging in empirical verification of your theoretical position, you are undermining the very stance of Austrian economics. In that construct, there is no empirical verification, only self evident axioms.

  • @axe863 But the Austrian economic model only works on a small scale, when population, productivity, and resources are minimal. You may be able to apply that model to a state but not on the federal level in America. I'm sorry but I just don't see how Socialist policies on economics can NOT lead to abysmal failure. Especially when I've seen it played out over the last century.

  • @Sentry353 You cant apply it ever ... it dismisses empirical evidence. Its based on a pre-scientific framework.

  • @axe863 Then why did you bring it up?

  • @Sentry353 I never said socialist policies were good

  • @Sentry353 How has capitalism been dying for 100 years? The quality of life and wealth has been increasing at a quasi-stable rate. LOL

  • @axe863 Capitalism and the Free Market were last used unhindered to reverse the effects of the depression caused by Progressive policies in 1920. The prosperity of the average American was so increased that the period between the the end of the depression and the reinstitution of Progressive policy (1922-1929) was known as the Roaring Twenties.

  • @hacccer1 Capitalism is the only thing that has kept Socialist countries going. As soon as capitalism is gone, even the Crony Capitalism we've had in the US for the last 100 years, the whole Socialist house of cards will come crashing down. Oh wait, I see it has already begun comrades!

  • @Sentry353 Not cool... not cool :P

  • @axe863 Yes, not cool indeed. Once the global ecconomy has totally collapsed, countries like China will become the overwhelming dominant force. They are totally self sufficient and they won't tollerate the basic freedoms and liberties which we enjoy under Capitalism. With Europe now in it's economic death throws and the US not far behind, it is only a matter of time before all falls into chaos and anarchy. It will be glorious comrade!

  • Energy Freedom = drilling in Alaska and Northwest US, where there is more oil than all of Arabia. Not by windmills standin still when politicians aren'r blowing hot air. This was not information, it was propaganda.

  • What a bunch of miss information. Gerble would be proud. A Carbon Cap won't cost industry. The cost is passed on to the "END USER". YOU THE CONSUMER !!! LOL It is my contention the people proposeing this bill don't have you'r best interests in mind.

  • some tutorial to do this... ??

  • does anybody know what is the software used to do this??

  • @neanisco adobe after effects cheers

  • Wow. I am so glad we have gov't regulation to solve all that ails us.

  • Thank you. I love you.

  • Dam I'm happy to live in a country without a general speed limit :)

Controlling emissions is probably necessary, but making a 30second advert for something so complex as internalising the costs of pollution is outrageous.

  • Hi my name is DANTHEMANISH123 and i APROVE THIS MESSAGE!!

  • F*ck Carbon Limits!!

I say we need to RAISE the Speed Limits, Anyways!!

To much Government in Peoples lives... Damn Piggies!!

  • what happens if they become lazy... lol were the ones thats gonna pay for it not them.

they say... oh well you want this, I just raise your gas prices..

oh you want that, well , raise the electric bill...

    lol

  • Cool

  • Good Job

  • Let the market decide how to solve our problems.....not bureaucrats who barely have a grasp of finance/economics and who are in the pockets of special interests

  • @ekuboim You don't have the slightest grasp of economics do you? If you raise taxes on business in the form of carbon credits they will do their own type of offset. This is a cost offset. The price they are charged in carbon taxes will be offset directly by raising the prices of the products they make or sell. So in the end WE pay the carbon tax not the corporation. but hey if you want to pay high electricity bills to satisfy your guilt created by some pseudoscience then so be it.

  • @riothero313

lol.....I understand that corporations are going to pass this new tax onto their customers.....I believe the corporations should have to pay for the new tax out of their profits. If the federal, state or local gov't increase my income taxes who can I pass that cost onto....noone...I have to pay my taxes so corporations should have to pay their taxes just the same.

  • Fuck oil. It's the only reason we have so many god damned people. When we can use it billions will die. Our population is the problem. Nothing else.

  • This video is too fast. I don't understand a thing. Maybe make it 1 minute and the same information, and it will be good.

  • @Greatdaneo But if it were a minute long .... it wouldn't be as effective at brainwashing people :(

  • How will a fine paid to the US government do anything to solve a problem that doesn't exist? The Earth is COOLING!!!

This will only drive more jobs out of the US. Thank you Dems for killing America.

  • 迎逗弄

  • ok fuck this with an AIDS dick. Anyone who ACTUALLY thinks it will cost energy companies ANYTHING is FUCKING RETARDED. The only people who ill PAY FOR IT are the regular fucking consumers and its going to hurt the middle class the most.

The war on the middle class will never end.

  • @griptick

Actually, that's not true. The costs of any tax or cap are born partially by consumers and partially by producers, depending on their elasticities of demand and supply.

  • @Joeofiowa your ignorance is glaring, friend. Producers don't pay taxes; they pass them on to the consumer.

  • @netdoctor1

Incorrect. Do not accuse others of ignorance when you have clearly not done the research. Producers pass some of the costs on to consumers, and retain some of the costs themselves. This depends on how easily producers and consumers can switch to alternative goods or services.

Search "tax incidence" on Wikipedia. This explains it clearly.

  • Hmmm looking at the constitution says nothing about carbon in the enumerated powers nor is social engineering.

  • This simply won't work. The solution is clean safe nuclear energy. But the uneducated hippie liberals put a stop to that.

  • So I see the dogs have been thrown a new bone? I was wondering where all this "CO2 isn't pollution" was coming from. Scientists agree it is pollution, oil execs agree it isn't..... (check the Washington Post on climate change)...well, the Earth used to be the center of the solar system and gravity used to not exist - opposition to this will fall too.

  • @pehenia

Those claims your stating were created by "The Church," an institution based on deception & lack of science. Interestingly enough though, proponents of Anthropogenic Climate change parallel "The Church" in many ways. They desperately want you to believe that: "There's this vile evil that you've made, but You can be saved! The Earth can be saved! If you'd only give us some of your money." Yet, their whole principal is based on deception and misinformation with no legitimate science.

  • @pehenia co2 is not pollution it's one of the most natural things that exist. when we put this out as anything other than from biological entities this is also natural as we too are part of the biosphere and not alien to it. it's all about a paradigm change to realize that we are part of this planet and we have the right to influence as we see fit. we are so ingsignificant inthe grander scheme of things. according to the ipcc's own report mankind produces only 5% of co2 anyway's ..

  • Or we could just drill for oil. Since when is carbon dioxide pollution? It's sort of necesay for plants... This is the sort of insanity that proceeds from the liberal mind.

  • What a crock of shit.

  • the Iceland volcano just released hundreds of tons of carbon in to the atmosphere...this carbon tax is a scam!!!

  • @popimpslab

You just released 110 characters of nonsense onto YouTube!!

  • All the jobs you mention require tax dollars. One refiner I read about paid $130million in property tax in Texas alone. When they are gone, who funds the policeman's job or the government to give out military manufacturing contracts? Balance, not full out war on our manufacturing sector.

  • What is "over the limit" is taxes and enviro restrictions. We have taxed textile, chemical, paper manufacturing right out of the country and why not oil refining while we are at it? We are taxing our country to the point where we will be the third world looking for handouts from china and India. When you don't produce any goods, you are no longer needed. Other countries will not play by the same rules and our children will become their slaves.

  • @MadentheUSA1

Stop being melodramatic. We have one of the lowest overall tax burdens in the developed world. Look it up.

  • @Joeofiowa

Taxes against non subsidized companies AND over the top enviro restrictions that other countries do not have. Look it up. I hav two relatives who lost jobs because their companys can operate overseas cheaper.

  • @MadentheUSA1

I never said a word about ethanol. There is little evidence that corn-based ethanol is any less carbon-intensive than oil, when you factor everything in. So (albeit for different reasons) I agree with you.

I disagree that a cap is too much. First, legitimate studies of proposed cap-and-trade bills showed that it would slow GDP by only a fraction of a percent. Second, we really need to hedge against the risk of severe climate change for ECONOMIC, not just enviro, reasons.

  • @Joeofiowa Cap is going too far. We are losing manufacturing jobs at an alarming rate. Balance is all I am asking for. I agree with changes to reduce emissions, such as ur July 4 video, but why is America the leader? We hav to think about our well being and sustain our jobs. All countries must make changes or none. Our children will be answering the Dell computer calls if we don't slow the enviro penalty changes down.

  • @MadentheUSA1

A couple more arguments. We have less stringent enviro restrictions than many other developed countries, and China's solar energy economy is bigger than ours. It is clear that leadership in the green economy is going to be critical, as people will eventually realize that carbon emissions need to be reduced. By pricing carbon now (more like a market tweak than a "restriction") we can catch up in the green tech race. Domestic clean tech produces more jobs than imported oil.

  • @Joeofiowa Your username is Joe of Iowa. Ethanol plants are popping up there and creating jobs. Sounds great, but independent refiners on the coast are shutting down. 50 new jobs in Iowa is 100 jobs lost on the coast. All in the name of being Green. Well the "green" is now in China. We are now paying for it with interest.

  • @Joeofiowa boviously you are not including corparate or business tax burdens. either that or you are looking from your own tax bracket. anything over $3million is 90% taxed how is that fair??

  • My toothbrush runs on a mixture of diesel fuel and eagle feathers.

  • As they say, "no good deed goes unpunished. " if we the people vote for cap and tax, we the people will ultimately pay the tax. Corporations always pass on cost to the consumer. Can you really afford more price hikes in anything? I can't.

  • republicans benifit industires at the cost of the environment, democrats benifit the environment at the cost of industries.

  • It will cost consumers not industry. This is just another bogus reason to tax. It will never pass.

  • who do you think the "cost" is really going to be paid by. don't be a fool and think that Joe Public is not going to suffer, corporate leaders are smarter than that, besides, corporations are paying for the "election" of todays presidents, congressmen and senaters. FOLLOW THE MONEY!!!!!!

  • Well why don't we switch to natural gas? We can make some money off of it.

  • Don't like gasoline?.....Don't buy it! Don't like burning coal?....Turn your lights off and buy some candles! Don't like burning natural gas?....Turn your thermostat down and put on a sweater! I ask everyone....how much are you willing to sacrifice for your "Ideals"?

  • @dbj919 agreed! well said.

  • Hydrogen gas. That's the solution they don't want because how would you tax or make money on water, something so readily available? It burns 10 times hotter than gas. Think of that heater. It is also burns really clean exhaust, it's water vapor. Cleaner than anything else I can think of. We could have already had green energy, it's just the corporations can't make lots of money on it. Why make something you can fuel from your kitchen sink or a rain puddle for that matter?

  • @TheLieWeLive ever heard of the Hindenburg Disaster?

  • Where are you going to get the hydrogen?

  • @TheLieWeLive it does not work 2nd law of thermodynamics. you cant' get more out of something than you put into it. plus transmission and storage cost. petro is still the best bet and we wont' be running out any time in your lifetime or many to come. not to mention nat gas which has thousands of times more capacity for change than oil or coal combined.

  • "A cap on carbon emissions will make industry more careful about pollution because it will cost them." So, this thing was made by 5th graders, right?

  • I GOT AN IDEA!

    We'll put flap B into slot A!

  • If you don't want to use oil, start building some nuclear power plants; otherwise, you're asking for 17-18th century standard of living all over again.

  • i wonder how big of a carbon foot print al gore home makes? with all the sprinkers for the lawn and the extra rooms that no one uses and all that energy that coal power plants have to make to power his house! im even using energy watching this video!!!! lets just all kill ourselfs to lower green house gasses and lower our carbon footprint!

  • I support

  • It will limit our productivity and throw us further into recession. The fact of the matter is that "green" options are a lot less efficient than burning fossil fuels. That is the truth. Whether you like it or not is your opinion.

  • man-made global warming = hoax

    stop drinking the kool-aid

  • @kenw74 I think it's all unfocused. Instead of seeing Global Warming as the enemy, people should focus on the damage we're creating to nature and its wildlife. We should campaign for the health of our planet (something we can put our hands on) instead of the weather changes they bring after the damage has been done.

  • I can't stand the "oil addiction" junk. Get over it hippies, you need gas to get from one place to another in a car. I totally love the rest of this video, and agree with the stance, but loaded words make for loaded crap.

  • How was this video made? What programs did you use?

  • @nydeucesfilms It was made with Cinema 4D and After Effects.

  • you know it amazes me how people can be so ignorant. even if this stuff doesn't work (which I'm not saying it won't) at least people are trying to come up with solutions. The people who are content to just sit around and watch us rape the world are the lunatics.

  • @Freemallan It's not a solution to anything except to enrich banks off of your good intentions. CO2 caps in developed nations increases global CO2 emissions and spur virtually no innovation; almost all renewable energy source development was due to direct subsidies, not cap'n'trade or standard carbon caps.

  • The Carbon Cap will finally be that last push that makes us fall into the pit of Socialism.

  • @TheBourneAirsofter it really wouldn't. the government sets a cap, and the free market determines the price of the cap. this has little to do with socialism (and i think you mean communism because you're referring to the economic system right?)

  • The video makes it seem like companies will save money by using the alternate sources of energy. This is only true if they don't violate the cap and incur heavy penalties. The truth is that alternate power sources cost more and big or small the companies are forced to drive up prices. Not saying we all shouldn't do our part or pollute the earth but things are not as simple or work as simply as this video makes it out to be.

  • If you want to be taxed because of a false flag attack on our environment then all the sheep out there are as crazy as the elitists trying to do it. They always try to sell you on ideas that are in their best financial interest nothing more. They want all the control for themselves and want to leave us all in their dust. The strange thing about it is that the big companies of the world are the polluters of the world, and their owners really want your money by creating a problem like this.

  • wow......no.

  • We do not need more regulation.

  • everybody check out the hitler and al gore video.....it says it all....very funny but great lines in it aswell like......the next generation will mock us.

  • pure fucking lunacy..

    clean coal - lies

    my dick > windmill

    solar panels cost a fortune

Dams can only be put in certain locations are steady but low power output

Nuclear power plants provide great power but are expensive as fuck

you can take 10 sec showers and drink your own piss and plant a garden and take your bike to work but you fools dont realize the damage is already done, you are a drop in the bucket, we are a train running off the rails if you want to lie on the tracks be my guest.

  • That or we could just use the oil we have and switch to nuclear power.

  • OK, this is a good idea.

Problem though, It's Carbon Cap-And-Trade, which allows larger companies to buy out smaller companies carbon caps. So, what's the point if large companies can still pollute and smaller companies are going out because they can't afford to switch to cleaner sources of energy.
