I had some idiot do this at 2 AM in the parking lot behind my house.... I called the cops, cause if you are going to annoy me, I am going to annoy you.
@adriaan880121958 Thats the rules, especially in other countries. Im not going to get into a pecking fight, but you know thats the rules as well. And those rules should be in place here too. I drive our family's lowbed in the family business, it has been thoroughly understood what PPE is mandatory. If this was Alberta, Canada the job would have been shutdown before the 650 excavator walked onto the pavement. Anyway, Im not looking for a fight.
@gangesexcavating Those big machines must chop the hell out of pavement with their tracks. Looks like a time consuming task just to move that thing a short distance to get it to the flat bed truck.
@bj616 its a big deal moving this unit, Joe. You don't see this big of a excavator too often in a city in Canada. mainly 45 ton excavators, this 65 ton Komatsu, you need to drop the stick and bucket onto another truck. Im surprised the counterweight stayed on for this load. This machine seems like overkill.
those 2 people that dislike the video must work for OSHA

Must be nice not to have to put up barrels or cones or any other traffic control other than that orange diamond sign... :/

i've been living in southern cal for a while, and i
immediately noticed that roads, construction, and drivers here are the
Absolute WORST when it comes to safety.
Everything is made for the worst possible accident waiting to happen

@b16tom09 No Hard Hats. Why should they have them? Is the sky falling? Steel toed boots don't help if that excavator drives over you.

@gangesexcavating on second glance it may very well have the counterweight dropped. Big weight here. The plywood helps skid like ice.
