Funny - Everyone claims to be technical-savvy with computers and the Internet. Yet, the general reaction to this video is, "WTF is that?... I don't get it... fake...", etc. This is a spoof on Microsoft web development architecture and tools - the plumbing behind the web. So, I guesss that makes most of you "computer challenged." Also with all of the cold fusion, java, php, perl and c++ floating around the web I wouldn't exactly call it the "plumbing behind the web" but you are right, this is just a bunch of clueless wanker kids on here.
.NET framework = Plumbing. Just like J2EE, but better. PHP/Perl are okay, I guess. But I've had to maintain that code. Many Perl programmers pride themselves in writing as little code as possible. Little code often means cryptic code, which is often difficult to maintain and re-deploy.

These kids bought a computer in the chinese shop yesterday and want to argue that pcs are better than macs, for a start, windows was born from the mac, and the market is huge because the computers are cheap and because they are low level, like cheap shoes for an instance, no research done to make it better, just copy from Apple. Firstly I'm a programmer. Mac is based on OpenBSD, a UNIX variant. It's very stable, not prone to bugs and is easy to use. The Window's kernel is a rip of te VMS kernel and as we know is buggy as hell and virus prone. Not to mention the BSOD. If you were a hardcore programmer, you'd be using a UNIX variant, like a BSD, Solaris, or even Linux. Mac and Windows although "usable" are for "noobs"is you want to get all 1337.

sigh... OS X is a mach kernel. Darwin is based on FreeBSD. The NT kernel had similarities to VMS due to the team that went to MS from digital. VMS which was, and is extremely stable. 1) Windows had been a graphical interface for dos - this ended with Windows 98 and 2000, winXP didnt even support MSDOS as startup option.

uh, don't turn this into a pc vs mac, they both have pros and I love working with both.
As for the video, funny yet wrong. You can't mix half the stuff you named. I've used *everything* you mentioned except tcl/tk and cold fusion.
(tcl/tk is to slow, and cold fusion is an adobe product)

These kids bought a computer in the chinese shop yesterday and want to argue that pcs are better than macs, for a start, windows was born from the mac, and the market is huge because the computers are cheap and because they are low level, like cheap shoes for an instance, no research done to make it better, just copy from Apple. Firstly I'm a programmer. Mac is based on OpenBSD, a UNIX variant. It's very stable, not prone to bugs and is easy to use. The Window's kernel is a rip of te VMS kernel and as we know is buggy as hell and virus prone. Not to mention the BSOD. If you were a hardcore programmer, you'd be using a UNIX variant, like a BSD, Solaris, or even Linux. Mac and Windows although "usable" are for "noobs"is you want to get all 1337.

sigh... OS X is a mach kernel. Darwin is based on FreeBSD. The NT kernel had similarities to VMS due to the team that went to MS from digital. VMS which was, and is extremely stable. If you are a hardcore programmer, you use the right language for the right job. Please verify your information next time.

You're wrong, dude.
1) Windows had been a graphical interface for dos - this ended with Windows 98 and 2000, winXP didnt even support MSDOS as startup option.
2) Every OS has gaps - even your high sophisticated OSX. It's important to thread the software right to make your system safe - if you're doing shit with OSX it will be a target just like windows - so what?

That had so many buzz-words, I was worried I might have to re-instantiate firefox's dynamic content delivery system.
Of course, all big businesses use buzzwords when discussing IT. Microsoft are pretty bad for it, but bless em, on the developerment side, Apple aren't much better.
On a side note, that struggle at the beginning was him trying to work out how to bring up the right-click menu. Who'd have thought that removing a button from the mouse would make things less intuitive?
