Sweet sounds man, Im in an electronicish band aswel, was thinkin about getting the roland spd-s. But like yourself I dont want to use the presets on the thing. Would you recomend this for live performances, like is there any latency? and hows the sound? checked your myspace, love the chunes! :)
@fionnion i use this at live shows in conjunction with drum set and have never had problems with latency. the sound depends on the pa at the gig. i use alot of the TR 808 kick (b/c its just so phattt) and it takes alot of bass for speakers to produce that stuff.
@thebetterhalf37 could you play whole 2min WAV songs with it? i mean like a 1hr set's worth? was thinkin about getting something of the sort to replace ableton live, wanna start doin laptop-less shows

well i played bass, guitar, and keys for a good 3 or 4 years before i played drums. i think coming from a melodic standpoint helps me play drums cause i know where everything fits and doesn't
