  • Great movie.

Read the book after watching The Dark Knight - for me, a glimpse inside The Joker's mind...

  • I saw this film years ago,it made a change from any other film i've seen.

  • this film helped inspire wes carven's "last house on the left" (1972). did clockwork orange's dna go any further, or did things in mainstream anglophone cinema start turning back after that? certainly with "the exorcist" (1973) & "jaws" (1974), we're looking at a very different kind of film; and by the time we get to "star wars" (1977) & "saturday night fever" (1977), we're in a whole other cinematic universe.

  • Best film ever made

  • I really wnaah see this Movie Never seen it

but my dad says he saw it and it was really disturbing

but i still wannah see it sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad

  • @cetanu445 Why don't you watch it then?... although from your comment it appears you are immature and illiterate, so you'd probably not understand it

  • I thought this movie was insanely beautiful in its own way

  • Awesome movie and novel.

  • @TheContemplator07 this is the kind of movie that just makes you think There are people like me that prefer darker movies to ones that are lighthearted

  • We had to watch this movie with english class. I really really really hate this awful movie. It's sadistic and unbearable.

  • @x1994xJannex1994x That, my friend, is the whole point of this film

  • @x1994xJannex1994x How can you possibly hate the best movie every made?

  • @x1994xJannex1994x then you have no taste in movies

  • @x1994xJannex1994x If you hate it that much, than why the HELL did you look up the official trailer?

  • @x1994xJannex1994x You don't get what it's all about do you?

  • The shot of the snake slithering across the floor was not in the final film. Also, the title in the trailer is incorrect. The correct title of the film is "A Clockwork Orange".

  • @tdkt160 Look more closely. The triangle that Alex is in is the "A."

  • when i watched this i did not get it its messed up

  • the cat lady gets beaten to death with the penis statue. >:D

  • Wat muzic plays when the B/W Nazi footage is shown?

  • @sonnyboy1069 Pot Calling the kettle black? Such a shame kids these days fed a steady diet of Hollywood by the numbers CGI cartoons aren't intelligent enough to even understand a film like A Clockwork Orange... and, ironically it's social and political foresight... you, young man, are a fool.

  • @gilkesisking dont get me wrong i apreciate you old guys have different veiws from us young guys. but theres no fool like an old fool

  • @sonnyboy1069 , let me tell you, there is nothing more frightening than a 'young fool'.... you're the next generation of leaders... filled with hate and bile

  • @sonnyboy1069 It is a great film. It's not ABOUT violence ; it's a satire about whether or not it is dangerous to use behavioural conditioning and asks if it is used against the population by governments to control people. A lot of it is very funny

  • @TheKenfig your right it is at times funny but bits of it are freakey.like when hes mates almost drown him in that horse troff . but then again if the film was less violent no one would know it.so kubrick did what he had to do with the film for it to get noticed. plus that (singin in the rain) rape thing shocked me.but what ever it is just a film aint it lol

  • @sonnyboy1069 Yes,a lot of it is funny, mostly for the narration by Malcom McDowell with it's odd phrases like 'Ludwig Van' for Beethoven and 'The old in - out' for sex and many other things in the script which are very funny, like all the prison scenes. The acting is great by MM especially.I think it is 'necessary' to have that violence and sex (which by todays standards isnt that bad) in order to show the true nature of the beast we were dealing with realistically, like Scorsese with Goodfellas

  • This is not the oficial music of this trailer. It sux with this music, the fast scenes doesnt' make sense.

    Watch:

    watch?v=tw8VWxVPFgU

The original soundtrack of it is William Tell Overtue.

  • i rent it for tonight.

  • broke the mould of films before it a very marmite film i'm one of them that loves it!

  • One of the great movies of the 70's by one of the greatest directors of all time. Malcolm Mcdowell is brilliant as Alex, who else could have played him so horribly.

  • i really hate this advert. epileptics beware.

  • This movie is horrific!!

  • brilliant directing if you ask me

  • This movie was the only movie that would scare me.

But when I watched it, it wasn't any worse than what already goes on in my mind. Don't take that the wrong way, I'm just desensitized already.

  • Wrong music...

  • @FetaCheese222 It's actually not.

  • @thaxnaytion Nah, it is.

  • i watched about 30minutes of this then decided the fact someone could think of this shit was bloody well not on

  • @themegamunkey123 This kind of stuff happens in real life, too: there are people all over the whole world who think this shit, as you put it. If this movie shocks you and disgusts you, you are clearly naive to the state of this world. Open your eyes, my friend.

  • Don't lie. You've all watched porn that's way more disturbing than A Clockwork Orange. Either that or you've been living in the 19th century.

  • Omg I hope there aren't anyone watching this trailer with epilepsy, lord

  • It's art why shouldn't it be controversial?

  • ALEX/CLOCKWORK ORANGE! THE GREATEST ANTI-HERO! --- /watch?v=Poh7DLYvqtE

  • @kalormon 1:why is a 12 yr old using the word fuck twice in a single sentence and 2: why are they even watching this movie? The word is judge btw, not gudge. Perhaps if you were old enough and educated enough you's know that. Go back to the nursery and leave the deep stuff to the grown ups.

  • @BreezesofConey Dude, people swear. Get over it. And why shouldn't a twelve year old watch a film like this?? I mean, if a parent showed it to their child, that's pretty bad. But if a kid sees something like this off their own back, big deal. It's gonna happen, what with the internet and shit.

  • 14 people are out they fuggin' mind and need to be dosed with Serum 114...

  • We watched that movie at school LOL

  • It's Alex VS Me! like Alex who is obbsess with violence and rape, I'm obsessed with cartoons. I wonder if there's a physical theropy cartoons for me! I'm in the mood to explain my own cartoon world.

  • Do you have any idea how long it must've taken to EDIT THIS? haha

  • people find this movie scary because of the sexuallity ?, what the hell ? since when is that scary lol

  • @IceClimberss since people got smart?

  • Cant wait to get the 40th anniversary edition of this movie

  • This movie was good, Not good GREAT! truely THE best movie i have seen though my life. All though it did have Some sexuallity, it was grate.

P.S, all of you who said it was "scary" i wached this at 11 and didnt get scared

  • talk about subliminal messaging

  • @imunchbutts-please call my wife and yell that into her Brain cus she doesn't get that at all.as childrens parents we are creating the adults of the next generation with our guidance and transmission of wisdom humbled knowledge as the influence.children must learn what it is like to not get what they want as part of life.see in a childs eyes that they understand it as a concept and accept it first.then give out candy and treats as reward of learning a vital developmental skill.

  • I think more people will see the film 1st then read the book 2nd.only because its faster and too many people are rushing about quick and easy like doing in two birds with one stone. If interested they will follow thru with the book or film anyway. For me this film is a huge influence on my understanding of the world. I was around ten visiting relatives and until then I hadn't been exposed to real music, film, books, and imagery it didn't exist back home.home was culture sterile.

  • O my brothers, if you viddy this, use your rasoodocks to pony what im govoreeting about. If you get everything right i will judge as a rather oomny chelloveck, with a real horrorshow of a gulliver on your pletchos. You may even make my pan-handle burst out of my neezhnies

  • @YeaOrNot

    I fucking love you.

  • @YeaOrNot But don't touch my yarbles.

  • What's it going to be then, eh?

  • I love the fucking movie and the book (I ve read it in three languages....)!!! one of the best portraits of our society ever!

  • @TheKaramellfluch

Very true my friend. Scary how they were well ahead of their time, both the book and the movie.

  • I just started reading the book; pretty good so far :)

  • The name of the band I'm in is based of off this movie. I've been meaning to look it up and I may watch it soon. Clockwork Asylum!

  • I just finished reading the book. The last chapter makes a huge difference to the story.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet, but I do want to see the movie.

  • @IndieSpirit2403 just keep in mind that the book is going to be a lot different then the movie

  • aww adio swaped

  • emic movie

  • seriously, this movie freaked me the fuck out. movies never scare me or anything but this movie fucked with my mind. & it's not even supposed to be a scary movie or anything. but when i watched this the whole time i was just sitting in front of my TV with my mouth open the whole time. i had no idea what the fuck i was watching & it made no sense to me. the second time i watched i paid more attention & it made sense but still freaked me the fuck out. weirdest, creepiest movie ever.

  • this movie scarred me...seriousy so many sexual things and rape

  • Comment removed

  • @gupsnot I get what you're saying, but honestly, this was a graphic movie. I really did not need to see a naked woman's cooch every two seconds for this movie. Yes, it's "artistic" or whatever the hell you wanna call it, but can't we leave some of that up to our imagination please? Yes I fear for our children as well- because our society is raping children of their innocence.

  • @PwnToob Seeing a pussy is not what is corrupting children. As much as mainstream America would like you to believe otherwise, there never was an "innocent" generation that we all need to go back to. The real issue corrupting children is ignorance & pseudo morals. It's pumped into our heads that it's ok to go to war and blow people up for money but yet seeing a nipple & hearing cuss words is somehow the real threat to children? If you shelter your kids too much, you've only made them ignorant.

  • @OfAllOblivion this movie obviously has more than a nipple and cuss words, and when i was very young i was exposed to many sexual things and it scarred me, I do not want that to happen to my kids. just because your more interested in the war and corruption doesn't mean this isn't an issue of making society obsessed with sex. you have your opinion and i have mine, i respect yours but im not changing mine.

  • @PwnToob tits and cooch scared you? I ain't gonna lie, but I just laughed quite hard.

  • @Struckworld when did i say scared? i believe i said scarred (: there is a big difference. i dont care about tits and cooch i care about rape and the scenes that show it are very negative.

  • @OfAllOblivion The real issue corrupting children doesn't have anything to do with war. The real issue is parents allowing their kids to do whatever the kids want to do. Parents are letting their children run their lives. It's is our own faults children today are corrupt.

  • @imunchbutts I never said war was the reason for corrupting children. What I said about war was just one example i used to show the hypocrisy of people's morals. My point was that graphic movies aren't the reason. And yes, I agree with you that it truly is our own faults. Too many people who have kids have no idea how to be parents.

  • @OfAllOblivion

I am so much with you. Most of Europe´s inhabitants consider Americans totally retarded, twisted and nuts. I refuse to judge people in conclusion of their nationality, but this one is right. Sueing others for "sexual abuse" and similar stuff just makes me sick. Sure there are cases in which its right, but its mostly pathetic. Also, nobody in Europe would give a crap about some nipple, on the contrary to Americans.

  • @Riwillion they let their president go for the alleged relationship with a young woman. While majority of the world would only be proud if their leader had something similar, Amercia made us believe that this was sinful and disgraceful act. Then the next president comes and opens series of wars across the world, killing both Amercian and other people. And now they make us believe that this a righteous thing. And guess what? many indeed believe now that loving is bad, while killing is good.

  • @BlackCrowNavajo

Yeah, its totally upside-down and retarded how majority of Americans think regarding that.

  • @BlackCrowNavajo actually, the majority of Americans (myself included) really didn't care for the hullabaloo around Bill Clinton, and if our constitution allowed it, we would've easily re-elected Clinton in 2000. Also the majority of Americans, even Republicans, want to distance ourselves from Bush as much as humanly possible because of said wars, and we're not happy with Obama because he promised to pull us out, yet started a new one with Libya.

  • @professorintellect I'm afraid that the people like you are not the majority. But this is not that important. A fistful of intellectuals can - and do - lead millions of those who are called "crowd of mediocrities'. As long as their intellect is good not evil - that's great! If your optimism is reasonable and has solid ground - my sincere compliments to you. And to those who are like you.

  • @OfAllOblivion I love what you just said. Im 12, and I am absolutely fucking shocked at older people. They tell us kids need to be protected, and whatever they do is all for the best. Buuuullllshit. If you keep your child protected for too long they wont learn anything, so when they go out in the world they are essentially fucked. Children sometimes need protecting, but you need to expose these kinds of things to your children while they are young, so they have time to learn.

  • @CorruptSoul3219 :-) Seeing such a thoughtful, articulate and wise answer from someone your age makes me smile. You are definitely much wiser than your age would indicate, and if there are more people your age with that train of thought, than this world is going to be will become a much better place. Thank you for reaffirming my belief in human nature and society as a whole.

  • @OfAllOblivion okay cool. who else come here to read some cunts philosophy on our children

  • @gupsnot I couldn't have said it better myself, great comment.

  • @gupsnot agreed. this movie is scary to be because i can see a "technique" like this being used to cut down crime.

  • @gupsnot hey man fuck you. daddy daycare was a very respectable film and it was a shame it didn't win the oscar...... jk jk calm dowm

  • @gupsnot o my malenky malchick droog, you are too molody to pony the radosty of a devotchka's nagoy groodies and all that cal

  • @deadlyvirusgiver Good stuff guv, but are you twig to the phonnies? My grey matter spun on your curvy latties.

  • @gupsnot I'm 14, and this is one of my favorite films. My parents are uninterested in film and have hated every Kubrick film I've tried to get them to watch, so not all of the "children" are mindless drones who don't understand that not every film is to be taken at face value.

  • @blablaidontcarewhour Good to know, mate! Keep those neurons motivated!

  • @gupsnot i concur

  • @gupsnot I highly doubt most of them have really taken the time to watch it. You said it better than I could have and it's so true. There is a great lack of depth today. Everything is as you said, shallow. It is about what is on the surface only and no one has any time or attention span to looking beyond that. Hmm that looks cool! That's about it.

  • @BreezesofConey I agree with you to a great extent, but it has been pointed out to me by blablaidontcarewhour who is a 14 year old that not all is lost on the young intellect. As I said before, I fear for the future of our children, but it appears I can hold back for some. There is still a creative/artistic/thoughful bent out there it seems. We must nurture it.

  • @gupsnot Relax. Though I agree that much of our modern pop culture does quit the opposite of stimulating thought. You have to remember this book/movie is not intended for young audiences. And even if it was, it conveys far too much of an intricate message. Thats part of the problem of adapting books into film. People look at the movie, but do not necessarily understand or look further for meaning, because they are overwhelmed with graphic images, rather than the meaning behind such images.

  • @chiefsmackahoe777 very true people miss the point of the film its not condoning violense its showing it as satire on our society in the future and are society is becoming more violent you onley have to see the news to know that

  • @gupsnot stfu you goon.

  • @gupsnot that's been said since the dawn of society. perhaps earlier

  • @gupsnot I agree it is utterly shocking how dumbed down and utterly medicated and apathetic to learning and art that our 30 year old children are today! We are doomed!

  • @freddygoldstein geez, you must really be fucking old then...

  • @gupsnot I am about as old as you are in IQ.

  • @freddygoldstein my previous comment stands. Feel free to get upset.

  • @gupsnot as does mine )

  • @gupsnot do try to pretend like this movie didn't scar you, all you are doing is trying to sound tough and stronger than everybody else, but in actuality you are a coward that is afraid to be judged by the strong minded, and doesn't admit to his or her feelings or views of the movie itself but quickly judges weak minded people just so you can make yourself feel better, which also makes you a hypocrite

  • @1whoowns Project, much?

  • @1whoowns its just a film

  • @gupsnot i totally agree the attention span and bad taste of many movie lovers is the problem, Clockwork Orange has meaning on many different levels even as most viewers even fale to see the basic political satire elements to the film.

  • @PwnToob wasn't it great

  • @PwnToob

    I love rape :)

  • Comment removed

  • is it an horror movie?

  • is it a horror movie?

  • Want to see this.

  • in 2011 this movie will eb 40 years old but its still one of the best movies ever made!

  • this movie...is just so fucking awesome

  • I'm going to be studying this later in the year for A-level! Thought i'd come and see whether the rumours i'd heard about it were true. After seeing this, can't wait to study it! x

  • woah. Too fast.

  • this film is crazy when ur stoned proper trippy haha

  • @Rase2ACD I'm stoned now and I was thinking of watching this movie. and now you said that I will.

  • great film, but Im really happy, that nowadays trailers are more... less of that. XD

  • @whiterabbit360 yeah really hurt my eyes after 10 seconds XO.

  • Great film

  • Should be the William Tell Overture playing....wrong music...pointless video. The trailer works much much better with the right music.

  • Seizure time, much?

  • This trailer is beautiful! 0:24-0:28 is absolutely brilliant.

  • I'm a part of this ultra-violence ...

  • If the movie is anything like the trailer, then it FUCKING SUCKS!

  • @blanknot stop criticizing then go watch the movie and see exactly how wrong you are

  • @blanknot if this movie is anything like the book, then it is a fucking masterpiece

  • @GIRTwithTOAST Sadly it's not like the book...

    But it's pretty good though

  • @Aff01000001 yeah i was a little disappointed but how different it was but it was still good

  • Such a crazy&yet, absolutely amazing movie(:

  • the best film ever

  • the first film ever

  • this trailer doesen't really do the movie justice for those who haven't seen it

  • lucky kid got to grab that ass!

  • i wonder if anyone would ever do a remake of acwo...

  • @elbinar ...It's like asking to remake Batman (1989) movie, Jaws, 2001: a space odyssey, the godfather or do a remake of Back to the Future!!!

It's just impossible to make a remake of this great movie. It would just suck or at really least don't reach the same level.

  • the book is way better

  • @scott24neo false

  • fucked up eh

  • All of you need to read the book.

  • @upleftdown it was one of the smartest things ive done

  • MASTERPIECEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! *****

  • This trailer fits the movie perfect! Thies movie is just ART.
