  • Yep i live in chandler and i hate having to do emissions im just glad its in a state where we can ride year round. Oh and its funny you say u were told that you didnt need to rev your engine during the emissions testing, because the first time i got emissions done on my first bike they had me rev my engine and i failed, but then every emission testing ive done since they just had me let the bike idle and ive passed several since. Freakin bastards anyways ride safe. love the vids.

  • haha love your personlised plate

  • @boozled86 Thanks!

  • iv never been emisson tested on any bike iv had in the uk from mopeds to my current bike i got 2 weeks ago a cbr600 and i dont think thay do it here in the uk tbh correct me if i,am wrong but iv never had it done to me

  • Some counties in Texas do emissions testing, but its done by hooking up to the computer in the car. It used to be done with some sort of tailpipe probe. Motorcycles in Texas only do a safety inspection.

  • In Britain the police do random stop checks at road side for emissons, but 99% of the time they only target really old cars.

  • @Darylw27 Really? That sounds pretty crooked to me.

  • @ZMagic97 Sadly it's the way Britain is headed. Traffic cops now have a quota to meet, more or less the same principal as a sales job. Gone are the days of discretion if you are caught going 5 mph over the limit.

  • Oh shit....I was supposed to go get my bike tested today but its raining. I completely forgot (its due the 15th). Thanks for reminding me I guess. lol On a side note, Im a new Vlogger from Buckeye, and Ive posted up a few vids lately. Wanted to invite you to check them out since you're local (check out the 3 part night video I posted most recently). Let me know what you think, and subscribe if you're interested. Love your vids. Ride safe

  • Do they inspect lawn mowers and chain saws too? They probably pollute more than most motorcycles. This is just more government control. And we, the citizens have only us to blame.

  • @dougk35 I totally agree. Of course a lot of people are very defensive on the cancellation of checking motorcycle emissions, but their pollution and amount of bike vs cars on the roads make them almost invisible to the environment.

  • LMAO good vid man I think my CBR1000RR needs tested this year wish me luck.

  • @azwakko Thanks man! Good luck with the testing. If it doesn't pass let me know: maybe I can help out.

  • Waaa??? On motorcycles? Ridonkulous. lol, there's a hair on my chin and it tickles!

  • @dlinquencious Haha I know, it's terrible!

  • Utah does emissions, not surprised 'cause our cars and bikes are crap haha. Go to any parking lot and there's a puddle of oil in every space. Thanks for uploading.

  • @apricotsnms516 Haha no problem, and thanks for the info! Glad I'm not the only state with testing!

  • what camera are you using?

  • @saulignacio1 It's a Kodak V570

  • i am so glad I have never had to go through that BS.

  • @rynoride its not so bad to make the test but to pay 400 bucks taxes for emission that i have to pay evry year :(

  • @rynoride I know!

  • or buy a brand new car or bike and it passes the test, but the factory that produced the bike pumps out tons of bad stuff into the air per bike.

  • @theamazinbagman Yeah, I think people lack the big picture. Than again emissions testing means they get $19 USD out of me a year per vehicle.

  • Um, California doesn't do smog checks on motorcycles, new motorcycles do need to pass the new emission's standards but as always, thats it.....emission laws are strictly stuck with cars, trucks, and recently introduced: diesel powered vehicles........wha whaa whaaaaa ;p

  • @braceyoself777 I would be surprised is Cali does smog check soon. Looks like every state is jumping on the wagon.

  • Fuck emissions.

Yeah dude, half the US does emissions...in CA it's worse b/c not only are the SMOG checks there difficult to pass (pretty much the same test as you have) but also you have to have a CARB approved stamp on EVERY aftermarket part or they can impound your car/bike at a traffic stop.

Luckily for the next year I live in NY..the only crap we have here is it must pass an OBD-II scan (can't have CELs, can't battery pull or I/M's won't be ready) on '97+. Emissions are pointless for 4's

  • @MrSlowestD16 Thanks for the info! Always thought just AZ did the checks. Glad I'm not alone.

  • @ZMagic97 Yeah, it's ridiculous. They do them as far as I know for a fact (first hand) in CT, MD, and CA, and I think they recently implemented them in NY for newer cars (older cars are grandfathered in) as some inspection shops have the sniffer equipment.

It's ridiculous, 4cyl engines don't output a lot of emissions..

  • About half the country does smog checks to a degree, California included.

  • @IamTravi5 Thanks for the info :)

  • 7:35 = Priceless!

  • @iamthesaxmaster Haha thanks :)

  • We have it here in Maryland, the county I live in though does not require it do to all the farming ie farm vehicle, lucky me. But not sure if they do it to MC. Really, they should not do MC.

  • @2008superduke Yeah, motorcycles polluting is much lower than the amount of cars polluting.

  • i have a gs500 :)

  • @Blackops272 Nice! Love those bikes.

  • @ZMagic97 mines the naked version :)

  • "Great Britain or some crap like that"??? Remind someone to get you How to Win Friends and Influence People for Christmas :P

  • @YarekBalear Haha why's that?

  • @ZMagic97 Because those of us from Great Britain see a bit of a difference between our nation and some crap :P

  • Here in the UK you take vehicles for a test every year (called MOT) and I'm pretty sure they test emissions.

  • @jajajacol Is that for new vehicles to, or after they are x amount of years old? I know here it's every year after it is 4 or 5 years old.

  • @ZMagic97 you don't need the MOT until the vehicle is 3 years old.

  • Actually europe does emissions... i know germany will screw you if you drop a exhaust on there without a katalytic converter

  • @e30Birdy They have motorcycle exhausts with a Cat? Wow.

  • @ZMagic97 yeah dude the 08 CBR 1000 i owned had a cat in it and all newer bikes have one

  • Here they test the crap out of everything that has wheels but emission tests on a bike .... no.... But they are thinking about it for over a year now. I hope they will vote agains it.

  • @bakker46 I hope for your sake they don't wither. It's so inconvenient and time consuming to me.

  • well atleast it passed thats what counts

  • @kd4ysi Yeah, that's all I cared about.

  • @ZMagic97 now you only got to put everthing back on it

  • @kd4ysi Already did. Only took about 10 mins :)

  • It's quite common in Europe actually ...

  • @Bobab13 Didn't know that, thanks for sharing!

  • it is very dumb for inspections and certainly not cost effective at all for bikes.. let alone emissions.. at least here you can go to an independent shop that is licensed by the DMV...

  • @dafobra They have waivers if costs are too high or after you have done "x" amount of work. They even will give a waiver if you do the work yourself with parts receipts.

  • What years of motorcycles are required for testing in Arizona? Here in kalifornia, the motorcycle test law became a "Muffler" tampering law.[ noise related] So after 2013 [models onward] no mods to muffler. Must have a "stamp" on muffler showing OEM equipment compliance. That emission law is total B.S.! What about dirty leaf blowers and lawn mowers etc? Sounds like the Eco-fascists in AZ pushed the law thru with no resistance .

  • @MCTeck Yeah, I guess they have been testing bikes since the 90's here. No muffler or equipment checks. Smog checks is for bikes 4 or 5 years old and older.

  • dude i have to do the emissions test on my car, my bike and my scooter since 1993 its called eco test. And i pay taxes in gas in registration for the crap that i blow out of the exhaust.

  • @warezvz Damn, that's weak!

  • Wow, you would think that they would do that in CA rather then AZ! Unless they do? Great to see you back! Hope this means more vlog in the future!

  • @surefirefan There will always be more vlogs!

  • i was thinking that first test sounded odd, 'cause, when I took in the KLR, it was only an idle test.

  • @emptym01 If I remember correctly from past experiences, they make you spin at higher rpm when you fail the idle test.

  • @emptym01 Glad you only had to do the idle.

  • I oh so love when you act up on camera!

  • @pbmaniac51 Thanks!
