This game was fun. The shooting segments were good, intense, and fun to play. Which is a good thing, since it occupies a lot of game time. The only downside are the katana battles. Fun to play, but waggle controls don't translate well when you need precise strikes. I didn't like Red Steel 2 too much since it was no where close to the theme of the first one, which makes me wonder why call it Red Steel 2?

i love this game, i just hate the part where you have to learn no sword moves, it takes forever before i actually get them right.

This game was fun until I had to choose a level. I got stuck without any special moves fighting a crazy chick.

Red Steel 2 is totally kickass. I never played the first, and am glad I didn't.

@fanblow This isn't a half a bad game for me, got it cheep, $10, and I enjoyed my time playing it. Not that I'm saying RS2 is worse, it's much better.

red steel 2 is definitely better for sword fights 1 on 1 but i still like the old one better because you are more free to jump and other things too. red steel 2 would be perfect if it was still yakuza based like the first one

I bought this game off ebay, cos i wanted to play it before red steel 2, even though they are almost COMPLETELY different games. And from what ive played so far this game is great. And i dont know why everyone is like "oooh, the swordfighting's really bad." I KNOW it's not as good as motionplus will be, but its still pretty good. God, they should learn to respect what they're given

Personally, I enjoyed the game a lot. The only problem I had with it was how many enemies that were on screen at once. I got gang raped my first time through the game.
