They were inspired by rites, orchid, antioch, gang of 4, you name it...they attempted a revelation. they were young, so were the majorty of their fans. its only obvious since the band was very rebellious. all sorts of people have contradicting reasons why they think the band was bad, judged the singers screaming as a commerical tool when the very fact was that the singers were just trying to be as comprehensively wild as possible, etc
