  • I love Tool so much. This lattice work of sounds all bundled together with the hypnotic voice of Maynard James Keenan.

  • how do you record electronic drums then? I've got a Roland TD9k

  • ooooh, shiny head

  • @musicPMA MMMhhhh....interesting.....^^

  • Can we just comment on the talent and not the instrument?

  • You say electronic drums are easier to record... but in my opinion this sound quality isn't any better than using an internal mic with real drums.

  • @keckelma No doubt about it : the quality is better with acoustic drums. The thing is that with an electronic drumkit , you don't have to buy mics.So , when you don't have the money , it's easier to record with an electronic drumset....

  • @FUNPLEXDRUMMER I guess what I'm saying is that I'd like to hear you record with the default mic on your computer with acoustic drums... and compare that to the sound quality being heard in this video. In looking & listening to other drum covers done with a single laptop mic on acoustic drums it seems the sound quality is equal or superior to these electronic drums.

  • You look like Maynard :)

  • yeah i've seen a lot of jambi covers but this is the best one. so many drummers have trouble flowing with the song during the dense parts but it seems pretty natural for you...

  • E drums or not, this is a fantastic cover man. Thumbs up!

  • i really like this cover

  • Good job, finally someone posts something other than garbage

  • Are those Mandala pads? Nice job, by the way.

  • Tricky rhythm on that song. Great job!

  • making me consider going electronic.

  • @06livefast same here

  • With the song always playing in the backround its hard to actually hear how youre actually playing at a few parts

  • Wow, just wow, great playing, this is quite a hard song to play.

  • wht kit are u using?

  • The audios pretty good but, the video kinda slow.

  • Wow, spot on dude. Danny Carey is amazing, to take on one of his songs is no small feat. I think you did it justice.

  • Wow, you are really amazing, and this shows the drumgodness of the big D

  • nice job once again

    check out mine!

  • Hey check out the video response Im going to post the eleven year old drummer used your video to learn how to play this song. Thanks

  • great job but at 3:39 its a 32nd note downwards tom-roll with cymbal crashes in between. Danny does it also in The Grudge. Other than that, effin awesome bro

  • good call i did not here it b4.

  • A talent only stunted by the fact he is trying to record it and put it on shitty You Tube.

I would pobably shit my balls if I saw you play with a camera that could keep up, on a massive mental stage kit.

Fucking rocked yet! Last half of this track is just... serious!!

    Yes on Tool.

  • Nice job - wish I could take lessons from you.

    What E-kit is that?

  • this is just awesomw men! do yu play in any band?? if you don't, well that is just painfull because you're AWESOME! i'm hoping to play thise in any time soon...

  • i'm going to pick up the drums any tips you feel might be helpful?

  • ok i admit u are top...but i never liked electronic drums...the never sounded natural to me...i mean...it's ok t use them for sound fx like dany...but i understand that natural drums can be trouble as they are very loud and take a lot of space...still you rock

  • OK , let me be very clear on that point : The one and only reason I use an electronic drumkit on theses videos is that it's easier to record than an acoustic set.For me , the best way to use electronic stuff is , as you said , for sound fx as danny does with a lot of creativity.Electronic drums should never be used to emulate acoustic drums because it just sounds cheesy.I do it because I don't have mics to record my acoustic drums and that's all.Anyway, thank you very much for the compliments

  • I love YOU - just like I DANNY LOVE XD

  • Good job.

  • what's even better about this is that the drummer of tool is hard to copy cause he adds something different every time he plays it so it is awsome how you were able to copy how he plays it

  • Thanx for the comment , u're very nice...

  • DUDE where can i get the transcription 4 this?

  • Wow, great job man!

  • amazing.

    5/5

    Great drumming.

    Danny is a creative one.

  • Jambi , from TOOL

  • jambi dome ass

  • Comment removed

  • WHAT? learn to spell, you just proved that you are dumb

  • i don't want fucking fight with someone that i don't even know so i'm just gonna block you

  • LOL because thats the adult thing to do.

  • Ugh. I still have quite a disgust for electric drums, they just always sound so crappy to me. And playing them, the action is terrible (Yes, i've even tried those Roland V-heads and although they are the best ive sampled, they still feel terrible compared to the real deal). All that being said, AWESOME cover man. keep it up.

  • GREAT COVER!!!! 1 of the best ive seen

either my computer is just really slow or ur to good for it im pretty sure its the second 1 tho cause my computer is pretty fast!

anyway like i said b4 greatt cover and have u done the drum cover for "rosetta stoned" yet?

    i probly spelt it wrong

  • Thank you very much for the nice comment ! I've not transcribed "rosetta stoned" yet , but why not ?....I'll think about it ;-)

  • Those drums awesome.. Nice job on the song dude, i like your videos. :)

  • Well done. Definitely the closest I've seen anyone get thus far.

  • Damn, I usually hate the videos of people drumming to other songs. But you paid this one justice. Bravo.

  • i love that intro.. be boo pop!

  • Great stuff!

  • 'O' OH M GOODNESS how do you comprehend this kind of music??? :P

  • best tool drum cover I've seen.

  • Yamaha DTXtreme IIS

  • I've watched both your Tool covers and you played them both like it was no effort at all. I bow to you.

  • Fkn solid dude. You are exceptional!!

  • Really great man-

  • its in 9/4 from the beginning to 3:41 then its in 3/4, then at 3:57 its in 6/4, then at 5:27 its in 9/4 again to the end

  • Ah I just watched it again... sigh... so brilliant

  • i cant figure out teh groove starting at 1:30 and at 2:14 and what tiem signature is jambi in??

  • what signature is jambi in? its more complicated than a single answer

  • isn't jambi in 9/8 time?

  • it definitley changes at points in the song.

  • The signature of Jambi is, indeed, 9/8, except for the solo part, where it turns into 6/4, and then 9/8 again

  • Dude, not only are you good, that was fricking awesome. Big respect to Danny and to you, not many can keep up... NIIIICE

  • nice!

would b better if it were on an acoustic set though but oh well still pretty badass

    4/5

  • minimum kits..maximum skills !

  • 1000 view/12th comment! NICE COVER!

  • I needz teh BPM does ANYONE have the tempo for this song?

  • eight note = 220

  • Wow!!!!

  • Do you just learn the drums by listening to them or did you find sheet music of it somewhere?

  • Ejecución perfecta. Mis respetos.

  • I wish I would have bought those Yamahas Now!

You did some Extreme Justice to Jambi Bro!

  • exellent cover dude. good work. you don't live in bama do ya?

  • Sounds excellent bro.
