Let us remember yoga was dying and the father of Hatha Yoga Krishnamacharya decided to have his students do exhibitions in order to keep Hatha yoga alive...Also remember that Hatha yogis start with disciplining the body in order to reach the mind and heart (Raja Yoga). Some us it is easy to start with the body.
I agree with those who think this is yoga techniques but not yoga. yoga can't be a show. So yoga day... stupidity. Yoga is in your heart and mind, not in the body.
