on what platform is the entire program written? I use Jade with Ntbeans IDE for developing MAS... the problem with Java is that is quite slow and difficult to programme and it uses up alot of system resources

@djvirus64 The program is written on the windows platform. Simulator engine written from scratch. Java really is a little slow, but you can always optimize some critical parts (eg calculation of the distance between the agents). Version which is on the films was written as a research project for the commercial applications we would use C # ( C++ ) + Ogre Engine. I will try to put videos from the current version.

What do you mean? If you ask the IDE it was Eclipse. If whether on university or a company it was AGH-UST university as a student project.

We had to increase memory for Java Virtual Machine to 1000 mb. ( We use CVM
programming method. )
If you ask about the graphics , it works fairly slowly. In the new version we use a few tricks for graphics optimization.
