ok, so i have lost the original, black task bar that i had to begin with. (like the one in the video)

what i mean by saying "I lost it" is that it's no longer black.

it's an old grey task bar and i hate it.

i've tried to change the color scheme and it's not even an option anymore.

so does anyone know how to get it black?

Try refreshing your Windows Experience Index rating and see if it fixes.

Click Start > type "Performance Information and Tools" hit enter, click the

Refresh Now button, it will run a few test then close. Open back

Personalization > Themes and see if the option for Windows AERO appears. If

it does not, you might need to restart.

If you are running the Power saver plan, Vista sometimes turns off

transparency automatically. If you don't want this to happen, you can

switch to the Balanced power plan. Go to Control Panel > Power Options.

@Spidermankevin78 or maybe you installed a new theme and deleted vista aero acccidentally to fix it u hav to recover ur computer and make it new................

Personalize(right click on blank desktop)

Window color/appearance

Click small blue link that says "open classic apperance properties for more color options"

A screen should pop up saying "Themes"

Click "Windows Vista Aero"

Click OK

Wait and....Boom! back to normal!

Is there a way to change the font color of the taskbar? Like for example if you're using firefox and you minimize it you see it on the taskbar and the font color is white. Is there a way to change to green, blue, red...etc Also same with the clock.

you can change the clock with LClock. but it also adds glow to the taskpane...taskbar. the other stuff i dont know.

do not use aero transperency! it uses mosta of ur cpu disable aero just make it black no transperency it ruins after a while and ur video keeps getting lees

Sadly the only way you can really change the collor of it is buy messing around with some setting there and still you can't really see a change, XP is EXTREAMLY easy!! There are tons of prorgams to do it, I did how ever find out that on VISTA you can make it look old school style and change the colloring around. Personalize> Change Collor and Appernce > Advanced > And mess around with it.
