If you use these for long riding events they would give the rider the ability to streach out. Anyone who has rode a spyder knows that your legs get cramped when in the same position all the time. Cool idea.
My concern is the obvious one, namely that while right your foot is parked on its highway bracket it is not in a position to apply the brake and in an emergency situation this could be critical. Unlike a motorcycle there is no brake lever on the handlebars, so keeping your right foot ready to brake is important.
