En fait je suis francais moi meme...je suis a Montréal, au Québec : )

Les Octodons peuvent consomer des légumes en quantité raisonnable.

Ces aliments sont excellent pour nettoyer le systeme digestif.

Les dégus ont besoin une grande variété d'aliments (non-sucrés) pour rester en santé.

Fait des recherches sur leur alimentation...si tu as des questions, n'hésite pas a me les demander.

@NightwishRaven999 ok en fait plus jeune, j'ai eu des hamster et je leur donnais du yahourt (ils adoraient ça) mais ça les a tués tous les 2.. donc quand j'ai eu mes octodons (3 ans maintenant) je ne leur ai jamais donner de produits "frais". Toujours nourriture octodons + foin. Parfois biscottes, petit beurre, noix ou noisette. (suite dans prochaine commentaire)

@NightwishRaven999 Cependant j'ai fais l'erreur au début d'essayer des trucs (on ne m'a jamais dit qu'ils étaient sensibles au produits sucrés) donc il m'arrivait de leur donner des kellocks et j'avoue j'achetais des mélanges raisins secs, bananes séchées et noix de coco en lamelles et ils en étaient dingues mais leurs yeux ont commencés à se voiler et j'ai appris sur internet que c'était sûrement à cause de ces produits, donc j'ai arrêté. Qu'en penses-tu? bises

@AbbyJaneHerbert no they sleep quite nicely in the night if they get enough exercise, mine have z tendency for a midnight snack but they don't cause trouble in the night

Is that milk in the cup? Interesting.. are you giving them milk for the calcium content or just because they like it =P? Never even crossed my mind to give my little guys milk..

No sorry...I do not give my degus milk.

It is water and if you look carefully you will see its a clear liquid.

8D I have a question~

How often should I feed my degus raw veggies...and can I give them carrots? Some people say yes and others no :U

I feed my degus small portions of celery, spinach, parsley, lettuce, cucumber or zuchini several times a week.

I also used herbs to enrich their diet.

Green vegetables are great to enrich your degus diet, but remember that they are only there to supplement.

Carrots are fine as treats.

Although a carrot is a sweet vegetable, it is much safer to give your degus small carrot chips than giving them raisins or pieces of apples.

I give each my degus a small slice of carrot, once a week.

@FurrieRabies If degus are not used to veggies, they should only be given small ammounts. But if they are they can get them every day. Some degus do not like fresh food though. They are kind of individual gourmets... ;-)
