@DoomThroughDoom No more like a loud streaking alarm that is warning you to hurry and get the heck out of the stage while trying to collect the rings/shields and watch out for those black things they can mess you up though. Man this was my best stage. Also another thing everything flashes white and red and then you are back into the regular act you where in. Out of all the special/bonus stages this one seemed the most off. I mean it just doesn't fit. But its still fun and easy to max out rings.

@Shogunelite I will tell you what that was a transporter thingy that send you out. Some how you are supposed to stick to those glowing sphears/glowballs and use the control stick to aim sonic in the right direction to earn rings/shields/many lives. Just let sonic stick himself to a glowing sphear and let that do the work.

what you do is you use the D pad as sonic spins in a 360 motion then blast off(jump) when he's moving diagonally.
