I actually like the M16 in Black Ops. I feel that it's evenly balanced as a burst fire weapon. It's also the starter weapon, so I got used to it quickly. I use the basic RDS, anything else I use the RS Green Dot. M16 I use mostly as a stealth weapon, seeing as it's hard to have the advantage face-to-face with a burst fire. Usually Ghost/Scavenger (Depends on mode), Sleight of Hand, and Ninja Pro. I'm more of a stealth person, so I stay at distance. Rushers: use the UB Shot Gun of FT.

My Set up: M16 ACOG, Extended Mag, Hardline pro, Warlord pro, Hacker Pro, duel python. I live "sniping" snipers with my M16 Acog

In this game the reflex or the red dot does not reduce recoil like the holographic sight in MW2, however, the ACOG and the Infrared Scopes reduce centerspeed(or recoil) and makes the m16 fires faster.

Another fact: M16 is the only assault rifle that gets its recoil reduced and center speed increased when attaching an ACOG scope. On maps like Array, WMD, Jungle, Grid etc ACOG is a lazer beam killing in less burst. Small maps use G11.

my favorit set up is m16 extended mag hardline pro slight of hand pro and marthon extended mag becaue when you are shooting a large group trying to enter a door you can mow them down m16 is best when you shoot a guy going thorogh a door or when you are in a door way

you are right aboute the dot with circle over just dot as the reticle is larger meaning it causes more surface area meaning it take less shots. WOW that sounded way too geeky lol =P

Really enjoying your videos after finding your channel. As for the pop ups on the side of the screen, I think you'd be better off doing them at the bottom where you place the gun stats. When I, and I assume other people as well, watch the video, our focus is on the middle to low part of the screen, since that's how we play the game (watching ammo and such as well as your cross hairs). I completely missed a couple of the things to the side because I was too in to the video.

Very nice vid.

I only play hardcore matches on the PC version where we have dedicated servers so we have less lagg issues than you have on the xbox, anyhoo back on topic. M16 + ACOG = a very good gun. if you add a silencer you have a very effective stealth sniper rifle. The burst fire helps you getting the kill over single shot rifles such as the M14.

Nice job, I liked it. In the right hands the M16 is still a best of a gun. I tend to do better with it than the G11, but I still struggle with burst guns from time to time.

Few things which I disagreed with:

- The M16 imo does match up to most of the weapons in the game. It has great damage at range, and it is quite consistent (w/ a good connection)

- For an objective based class I run marathon pro, just because without a team I often have to defend two flags at the same time and have to move around

- I also run steady aim on it, just because the m16 is not the best at close range battles

However, great vid, which I am sure will help a lot of pple out there

The default tiny RDS works best for me. A bigger reticle doesn't help me. That's just my own preference
