@MKUltimate3 Yes a country well known for it´s atrocities against native americans(more than 400 treaties with various tribes and nations ALL off them where broken)!
Also known for it´s meddling and brake-up of other countries like Yugoslavia!
@jazzy4887 Approximately 50,000 Confederate enlisted men were contained within the walls of Point Lookout Prison Camp during it's operation 1863-1865. Prison capacity was 10,000 but at any given time, there would be between 12,000 and 20,000 soldiers incarcerated there.
The extreme overcrowding, Maryland's freezing temperatures, shortages of firewood for heat, and living in tents took it's toll and many lives were lost due to exposure.
@MKUltimate3 if you would like more examples of how the south fought for the original america and the north that went against our four fathers ideals just ask i have a lot of them ready
@MKUltimate3 lol funny thing is you fail to realize that your side ignored the UNITED STATES CONSTIUTION and in fact was throwing the document out of the window prime example before the CIVIL WAR we had a de centralized government as the founding fathers wanted then after the CIVIL WAR we became a centralized government ignoring the warnings of our four fathers we are trillions of dollars in debt because of the federal government and are in wars that are uncosntitutional
MY 12th Great grandfather was George Calvert, and my 11th GGF was Leonard Calvert. Our family grew and settled the Southland. Maryland is a Confederate State. Our land was surveyed and the line drawn to separate the boundry with the Penns. To those invaders of our State and the resulting forced "union" that we have to day, it doesnt Change that Maryland did not choose to be in the United States, but was forced against her will. God bless Maryland and her free choice to be Confederate.
@redskins1111 you should consider the Maryland Division Sons of Confederate Veterans, the Maryland delegation to the Southern National Congress, and the Maryland League of the South. Any interested should email Beth at Disbeth101090@yahoo.com
@munacra leave him alone dont tell him what he know and dont know. i know my history. we are all United now ok, so there's no such thing as this whole northern and southern states we are one, we are all.
My 4'th gr-grandfather Henry Powell from the 6 ky cav. company C was captured and sent there. I have found records stating that he died there however it did not list a cause or date. Thank you for posting this
God bless Maryland and her efforts and contributions to the cause of our true country, the Confederate States of America. It will not be forgotten, ever. For as long as I live, I will always promote, defend, honor and respect each and every state below the Mason Dixon Line who fought for our freedom. Great video, keep up the fight and don't ever give up Maryland to the invasive Yankee and foreign culture that little by little, is conquering Dixie and erasing our beautiful history and heritage.
My GG Grandfather William M Bailiff (misspelled on the memorial) died of dysentery there, several months after being captured at the third battle of Winchester.
