  • this is an awesome set of videos...I am going to try it today. I make custom cakes...and am moving into the "fairy side"...my cakes are getting more artsy....I will definitely use the wings on my sugarpaste fairies. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us on here.

  • Thank you for sharing your talent with all! I was wondering though if I don't have a heating gun could I use my blow drier?

  • @MortishaMama Yes, if it gets really hot. Some people use an open flame... but I'm not that good, I just burn it.

  • Hello I was really excited when i saw your video so i went to a craft store and bought a uchida marvy embossing gun, but when i went over the wing to try and make a hole it shrunk the plastic. I looked at your videos and you put the heat gun close to the wings, so how come mine shrink badly. Just curious where did you buy your gun and what brand is it?

    Thank you! :D

  • @tobi2moodring Sometimes the holes can be very pretty. Just make a matching hole on the other wing. To keep the plastic from melting... use your heat gun in small circles. Keep it moving constantly.

  • @GardenOfImagination Thank you! :D I'll try that :D

  • You're so awesome ^^ ty dear.

  • Thank you for sharing your ideas. This is quite clever.

  • What a marvelous teacher you are. It's so kind of you to share your techniques for making faery wings. Thanks so much!!!!

  • I have to say it again: I am just floored by this, and how kind you must be to share it with us! Thanks again!

  • @TallLizzie Thank you. (blushing)

  • Hi Angela, What kind of celophane do you use? Is the kind that is used to shrink around a basket or something?

    Thanks,

    Bev

P.S. Even if I never get to do all the things you show, I am so happy to be able to watch each video! Keep 'em coming!

  • Just the cheap cleophane that is on a roll for wrapping paper.

    And thank you.

  • Did I miss where you explained why the glitter changed color?

I haven't heard of gallery glass before- how much is it a bottle?

    Thanks:)

    BOP

  • The glitter changes color with heat, when you use the blow dryer or heat gun. Gallery glass is around $5 a bottle. It's been years since I bought some, but that was for a large bottle.

  • Great wings class, thank you for your time and Imagination. I've been looking for a new way to make wings, and this is just what I needed.

Thanks. me ( aka) Titania :D

  • Thank you!

  • can u use a blow dryer if you dont have a heat gun

  • Sure, if it gets really hot it will work just fine.

    Angela

  • You are such an inspiration! keep up the video's please, and thankyou so much for sharing these video's with us.

  • (Turning red in the face!)

    Thank you.

    Angela
