i Have a question, being british im used to having public healthcare. socially speaking ive grown up with it and accept the costs for the potential social good it can achieve for myself and others in my community. with this in mind i cant quite understand the whole depth of the arguments going on in america. thats not to say i havent tried, merely that my mindset from socialisation differs and so approaching it from the american mindset is a little alien to me. could anyone help bridge the gap?

The health Care Bill is in the throws of becoming law for the guy who can pay into it. I for one am disabled and depending on Medicare and collect social security, both of which will be; I am sure, rationed unless common sense can be achieved in this liberal government. People over 65 can't go back.

I have a good idea on how to pay for the the government option for generations to come. Mortgage everything in this country collectively. We can mortgage all our property to borrow money to pay the taxes to pay for the health care bill.
many other countries do just fine with public option or equivalent. we will too. public option will drive down all medical costs- tests, docs, nurses, therapists, meds- all of it will be lowered because govt won't be able to pasy such high prices.... in western europe, for example, the average doc only makes about as much as the average engineer... med school tuition will also be reduced--- it's time to stop treating medical like prima donna-- they're important, but come on!

many other countries do just fine with public option or equivalent. we will too. public option will drive down all medical costs- tests, docs, nurses, therapists, meds- all of it will be lowered because govt won't be able to pasy such high prices.... in western europe, for example, the average doc only makes about as much as the average engineer... med school tuition will also be reduced--- it's time to stop treating medical like prima donna-- they're important, but come on!
