@LittleJCdude: yupp, they are. i am a fan of window-seats; but in that plane it was quite some nuisance and took quite some effort for a skinny guy like me, 6 feet something tall, to get out of my seat in the full flat position. a not so skinny guy might have quite some problems getting out of the window-seat when in lie-flat position.

next time, when flying through the night, i might not take a window-seat again, aisle seats are easier to get out of, just my impression.

(2) Why do we passengers enjoy the seat with a shell similar to that in this video?

The best Club World seat is 62A on the B747. On the upper deck, it is by an exit and has so much legroom you could fit a small car before the next seat.

It's an excellent seat as you have both total privacy and easy aisle access. I always try to get 62A on 747 flights.

The middle passengers must jump over the leg of the aisle passenger. I don't like it much. Best Business Class is Etihad's where every passenger has direct access to the aisle.

it looks sooooooooooooo crampy, i took CX with the same seat configuration, beware that if you are taller and bigger in size than the average, the seat will be verrrrrryyy uncomfortable !

it is 6 foot in length! try economy for cramped ... to get a longer seat you'd need FIRST class
