Swordsman (using Jian) of Wu Tang Shan are (or were in history) considered to be elite of China in using Jian (that's that straight chinese sword). I think that average apprentice of this school would best average samurai with no problem. (I know what I am saying, I know both styles a bit and I know the basics of both Samurai ways of fighting and Kung Fu though kung fu is a long journey to become master)
i practice several styles of martial arts and a fight is not entirely determined by your style. it would not be a hands down win for the straight sword fighter. everything depends on the student.
What wonderful Form and Grace. Must be a great way to relieve stress.

@Roflosic
All in all it is not about the art, it is about the advanced skill level of the practitioner.
Comparing Wudang Jian to Bushi Kenjutsu?...That is impossible...comparing two Practitioners is more realistic.
