i have drumsite on my laptop here.. and i record beats onto another computer using the microphone socket on both computers and pluggin in a jack lead it click play and then click record on the one you want it to record to and boom. but this way works too..
ok... first thing Windows Vista users and windows 7 users... You will not and will never have the option for Stereo Mix.. this guy is running XP.. that's why he can use stereo mix and that's why I downgraded to XP.. because I can record drumsite with a free recording program called Audacity.. wooters!!
@matekusz1 lol, if i use windows 7/windows vista I usually just run a male-to-male 3.5mm headphone jack from the output to the input (works like a charm too) because whether or not a computer has stereo mix on it also depends greatly on the manufacturer of the sound card in your computer.. some windows xp computers may not even have stereo mix because the sound card doesn't support it..
Must say that i came to this idea about two years ago,its ok for making demo songs, but if you play something live on drumsite program, and if you make mistake, later you can not fix it,in full version of drumsite it can be done, but nevermind that,i only must say to you that your middle finger and devilish signs made me laugh, half of planet is sick from "buy full version, donate, only 99,99",but you explained in an exelent and funny way,FUCK THEM ALL,GLOBALISATION,END OF THE WORLD AND ALL OTHER SHIT!
Very creative :) I downloaded Audacity and your trick worked great. The only problem is that without the ability to save your work you have to create all of your MIDI drums from scratch ... depending on the complexity of the song that could take a while :S
@davedevoe You can use Guitar Pro software to make your MIDI drum tracks. Much easier than doing it in Drumsite with too much clicking in small boxes.
I used to connect the headphones output with the microphone input and start recording... Awful ahah, mono audio sounds pretty bad and I always had to reverber it to make it look decent. Anyway, thank you for the tutorial, I'll probably download audacity do record it better.
@dzemis77 Not sure about what you mean, but I never used microphones to record drums, I connect the headphones output and the mic input with a cable, and then I start recording it. I wouldn't recommend it however, it doesn't sound that good, this video shows a better way.
I know about this, appreciate the video though. However I'd like to export to midi so I can quantize my beat (iron out the kinks) because I don't see that function in the program yet.
Hi!So i guess i can record the drums with audacity but i cant actually hear them. And on that graphic thing they just appear as small curves (really small barely visible). And i did put it on "Stereo Mix",everything is turned on and i checked the volume and stuff. But when i try to record my guitar or bass using the "line in" option it works fine.Pls help...anyone?
I have audacity v1.2.6 The option is next to the volume sliders, top right. Its a scroll down menu, change it from microphone to "Stereo mix." thats how you get audacity to directly record whatever noise comes out of the speakers.
Hey man, Is there a certain version of Audacity that you're using?
I downloaded both 1.2 and 1.3, as well as all the plug-ins, but I can't find the option that allows to record directly from the computer that you're talking about anywhere.
Can you give me a hand? I'm missing something somewhere.
By the way dont even search for the crack of this program cuz all them that I've found was a f..ing trojan horse and I clicked them and my computer f....ed

anyone out there that uses this program for d-beat/mince/grind type of music that could give me a few pointers?

you can hook up a guitar hero world tour drum set to ur computer and play it like a real drum set using this program..
its for ppl who cant afford a drum set lol.
unitard08 1 year ago
@unitard08 i have it that way :( im poor as you say...but i have 3 rockband drumsets to drumsite ! so its almost real :)
gac3la 1 year ago
Nice. But how do you get back your lost MIDI drum file after you closed Drumsite from that wav you recorded? :) No way.
Besides Win7 doesn't support Stereo Mix, so you can't record the played out. At most with another pc or laptop.
