This was the last act of the night. This woman came behind the powerful and dynamic group Earth, Wind, and Fire. That was a hard act to follow. At first I thought it was unfair, but she did not need a bunch of dancers and fireworks. This woman sung from her heart a shocked everyone. The only reason why Stephanie Mills will never get her due recognition or honor from this industry is because she refuses to sell out or sell herself over to the powers that be -- plain and simple. The only reason why Stephanie Mills will never get her due recognition or honor from this industry is because she refuses to sell out or sell herself over to the powers that be -- plain and simple. There are singers who can't come close to her presence, power, or performance on stage who are being acknowledged year in and year out. If you sell your soul over to those in power, success is a guarantee.

@ed710 I saw her perform in Detroit four years ago along with the O'Jays. Seeing her perform in concert is going to a revival at church. It's part concert, part church. You lose yourself in her songs and the emotion she puts out there is so real that it makes you wanna put some of it in a bottle and shake it up!
