Nirvana is good and so is the song, but it's not a 'singing' song. Kurt Cobain was a terrible singer, just like Bob Dylan, but there was something special about it. If he wanted to do it, he should have completely reimagined it.

His singing started off okay, but he got too screamy and then he got out of tune. He can actually sing way better than this. I think he was trying too hard to sound like Kurt Cobain and he stopped focusing on his own singing voice. He'll do better, just watch :)

I think it's a good song to choose he could have really used this song to his advantage but he was too crazy with pitch and the lighting was horrible made him look like a demon LOL But I'm glad he picked a "not typical" song that's refreshing. He just needs to remember that it's a singing competition and he needs to keep his pitch's and tones!!! Keep up with different songs and keep taking risks but his voice sounded horrible. Just work on the execution better buddie :)

Well if you're looking for karaoke version of the tune this isn't it. It is Casey's interpretation of the song. I liked it, I thought he did well he was feeling it and had fun. There is more to a song then just playing the jukebox version over and over.

The arranger of the notes does not own the melody he just brought them to earth and arranged them how he interpreted them, others can interpret them too. I like his passion and how he put his jazz signature on it with the horns but stayed true.

Casey was fearless and fabulous. But, he has got to play the idol game a little so he can stay on the show and entertain us till the finale. Next week he needs to kind of mellow it out with a prettier song. But, I loved it . Wish there was more time so he could have gotten back to the melody and not ended with the screaming stuff. Compared to all the very boring song choices and performances last night-he was the only entertaining one on the show. He is such a good musician too!
