  • Ronald didn't make loar lmao.

  • botox/ facelift gone wrong...

  • @a0308717 Something tells me he probably had a stroke. ASSHOLE!

  • @tamatownskater something tells me you're an asshole, ASSHOLE!

  • Where could i install a pickup in this guitar? Preferably without making holes. Thanks

  • @alvaritooooooooo A lot of times guitars like these are amplified using a little microphone. However, I'm reminded of the B-Band AST pickups, which are basically strips that are stuck onto the top wood from the inside of the guitar. Those might work as well, but I'm not sure of that!

  • @Demoras Thnaks for the response

  • Sounds buzzy

  • I have a LH 300 VS for sale in my shop. Just got it today and am V-E-R-Y impressed. I am an obsessed rhythm guitar player. I just kills my L-7.

  • After seeing this video, we purchased an LH-700, the flagship model, and it was one of the worst guitars we ever saw. Very, very bad craftmanship for any guitar at any price. Mr. Mehling's guitar was probably a good one, but please do not purchase these guitars without careful inspection first.

  • I have one and it is exceptionally loud and balanced for an archtop. It is easily as loud as most of my flat top guitars and I have an old Epiphone Emperor which is not as loud.

  • Hello anybody, whats the difference between the 600 and the 700...other than price? thanks

  • @1duck1duck2goose The 700 has better wood grades on the top, back and sides.

  • @1duck1duck2goose 700 has lacquer finish, ebony fretboard, and nicer (IMO) flowerpot inlay on headstock.

  • I do agree that this Archtop is not as loud as some others but like Paul said its very punchy and balanced and thats what you need when you need to cut through a big band style.

  • Paul Mehling is an awesome guitarist! Someone with a keen ear for beautiful music and exacting patience in song arrangment. Very underappreciated. Listen to Paul's solo on the live recording of "Flambee Montalbanaise;" Mehling is a heavy hitter.

  • great playing!

  • I want a Loar LH-650 (the single cut one) so bad, that I've got a semi.

  • Can someone please tell me the name of the tune that Paul Mehling is playing at the beginning of this video. I really like it.

  • The tune is "Sutton Mutton", written by Carl Kress (I believe) and recorded in the thirties. It has more recently been recorded and played by folks like Bucky Pizzarelli, Howard Alden. The sheet music is available in the Mel Bay book "Masters of the Plectrum Guitar".

  • @Gminor7 Don't forget Eddie Lang!

  • that guitar is a cannon. it's nice to see affordable quality archtops available.

  • It's not actually THAT lout. I have one, and my Epiphone Emperor Regent Deluxe (solid wood version of the regular one) kills it in terms of volume. The best non cutaway acoustic archtop that I've found on the market is the Adam Black JA-10. 17 inch body and 25.5 scale length. exelent for a bigband archtop.

  • greetings from the berlin mehlings ^^

sounds nice sir =) keep improving =)
