@twinnchicago It looks very tight but it isn't. I have soft hands when it comes to braiding. When I braided her hair in the past it grew, but when she started having it braided and later weaved in salons she lost most of her edges. We decided to do braids this time b/c they might give her scalp some room to breath and allow her hair to grow while being in this protective style.

You did a great job with ur mums hair. You are very talented. Do you think that castor oil and or avocado oil could be massaged in your mums scalp to help with the edges and thinning? That's what I have suggested to my aunt, we've yet to try it tho. You and your mum look so much alike. She looks very youthful !

@BeautywithinSherry thanks Sherry! No, I haven't thought about using those products to help with thinning edges. To be honest I really don't know what she uses b/c I am living out of state. While at the BSS we picked up a product that is suppose to rapidly stimulate hair growth. I don't know what it contains. I'll let you know if it works. I'll tell my Mom you think we look alike. She loves to hear that:) We always get mistaken for sisters, too funny!
