  • Is there like an extended version of this?

  • there are very few things that could bring tears to my eyes, but this song just does something to me, i can't explain it.

  • Who esle thinks this sounds like the Blade Runner theme?

  • @adth446 I can see a vague similarity between this and "Blade Runner Blues", but not the main theme- that was up beat with those electric timpanis (dadaDADAdadaDADA)...?

  • @12ealDeal yeah that! Blade Runner Blues! thanks for the correction

  • @adth446 No prob. I just wish this played every time I came home from work, know what I mean?

  • @adth446 I definitely see the similarity. Same mood and tone and it has that similar synth backdrop.

  • akai no namida wo fuiteru...

  • 5am sitting ass-naked eating pancakes and just chillin to this song

  • @fgd49v2 PANCAKES!!

  • Hey can anyone direct me to more jazz like this?? thanks

  • @serpentarius23

the begining of my jazzish playlist is from the start of an amazing album called "Cu Taan" & there are some others i bet you'll enjoy

  • This show has a song for every moment of my life.

  • the day will come when i can laydown and i can finally wonder how i could've called the thing i carried weight

  • In contrast to the ambience of the first second and a half, the sax comes in sudden and harsh, like the cold light of a hangover, reminding you that have not escaped the heartache, and the blinding light seeping in from behind the curtains concurs.

Hey, you get used to it though.

It's not like you have much a fucking choice now do you?

    See you space cowboy...

  • This makes you think of that passionate special someone that you will never forget that you can't get out your mind you just think of all the memories you had together through the good and bad no matter what goes on in your life the love still burns for that person and all you can do is reminisce!

  • This is one of the most sexiest jazz songs very haunting, intense, beautiful, smokey, alluring passionate, deep, classy ,dreamy ,sound definitely love making music or thinking of someone that is dreamy to your heart all I can say is cowboy bebop for life!

  • "And you will shed tears of scarlett !"

  • @RennyRe actully loved that line he said.

  • You dont truly understand this song, unless you feel the chords in your bones, and play the sax.

  • SO beautiful; makes me want to take my sax to japan and ask them how its done. :)

  • *started with.

  • I've learned "Goodnight Julia" on my sax aka (Space Lion) and I've been searching all over for the sheet music to this song. Does anyone know where i can find it or buy it?

  • I remember being curious of Cowboy Bebop a few years ago and so I started watching it and I fortunately started on the 1st ep. When I heard this it sent chills down my spine and I fell in love with the show. I followed the series for months and when I got to ep. 25, it played again and I shed tears as I realized the journey was ending with the song it started it.

  • ...I now envy sax players. This song wouldn't work on anything else.

  • Adios

  • Damn that sax is sexy O.o

  • this sounds like space lion from the first soundtrack

  • We make love -me & my boyfriend- listening to this song... I let you guess how it feels... =)

  • @nadachwan T.m.i...

  • @nadachwan Spike: Well aren't you an original?

  • Wow... This song is... My soul feels alive when i listen to this. Like Its dancing with my emotions.

  • When I go back home to California to visit family. I'll listen to this on takeoff.

  • A few weeks ago I had to take the bus on a terribly stormy night . I was tired and worried about getting home until I put on this song. It's like time didn't matter any more, I was floating in a serene state, watching lights speeding past me through a frosted window. The setting and music were a romantic combination, a perfectly scored real life moment.

  • Asimov NOOO!!! that stuff is going to kill you

  • Does anybody know the cords of the accompaniment?

  • This is the kind of music that no matter where you are or what you're doing, you have to stop and think. Think about everything that's going on in your life. All the shit that's happened til now. All while imagining this song playing in a background with nothing but rain.

  • @Badilla92 well then i would suggest that next time you are feeling down listen to this and then open another tab and youtube search sound of rain without music

    its magical

  • @HodgePodge218 1. Have this ready to play.

    2. use this watch?v=k0gsduLrfSU

    3. play the rain first set the volume to half.

    4. and as soon as the rain starts play this.

  • this song plays during the most intense moment when you see that spike is really really REALLY pissed off

  • "And you will shed tears of scarlet"

  • I remember when I first bought the series I thought the first episode was interesting but really didn't know what to think about it or if I'd like it for 25 more episodes. As soon as this track kicked in during the chase scene I knew the series had pulled me in and I'd love the show and it's music. Great show and great music!

  • i want this played at my funeral as they lower me down.. yeah.. i can listen to this till the day i die and still love it :)

  • If only I live long enough to see cities on planets....

  • @SpartanDrag00n .....you can if you live long enough to cryogenically freeze yourself, just make sure you can pay your hospital bill

  • @urinalturd HA.......I get it :D

  • @urinalturd its not the bill thats the problem, although freezeing yourself is expensive, they dont know how to unfreeze you yet, heres to hopeing they get lucky ^_^

  • @urinalturd true but risky...

  • @urinalturd Lol, did the other responders get the faye valentine reference I wonder?

  • @grauster423 i know right?, lol

  • Hmm... Twin Peaks?

  • Okay so I love this show and I love this kind of music, especially today when it's rainy and grey. I just want to know if anyone knows of anymore kind of music this style. I know it's jazz but this is really chill jazz so can anyone link me to a few artists that play this same style? Thanks and STAY GOLD

  • This is grown ass music right here. the most mature OST ive ever collected for any anime....very classy tune that takes you high

  • Comment removed

  • "Adios, Cowboy."

  • This reminds me the soundtrack of "Taxi Driver" :). Simply Amazing.. Cowboy Bebop is one the best anime that i ever see.. I miss you Spike.. See You Space Cowboy..

  • I love Bebop and Yoko Kanno, and this is gorgeous, but it's also BLADE RUNNER incarnate.

  • @Beo2X Yeah! This actually does have that Blade Runner feel. Yoko Kanno might of fancied himself a little Vangelis.

  • @12ealDeal i'm not a feminist but yoko kanno's a woman :)

  • @12ealDeal actually i was watching blade runner and reminded me of this :P

  • Adios...

  • This song is the reason I watched Cowboy Bebop

  • @Isaac020586 same here... probably one of the most beautiful songs ever

  • This whole scene couldn't be a more perfect encapsulation/foreshadowing of Spike and Julia's own dilemma.

  • I'm looking for the sheet music for this piece. I hear Jan Garbarek plays on the tenor sax. I would do dirty things for the sax notes. Anyone have any leads?

  • @thesmallsketch i would do evil things to force itunes to put anime music in their library so i can listen to this stuff on the road.

  • "Her name is Julia, they're trying to kill her Spike..."

  • reeeeeeeeeeeed eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyye

  • does anyone know the name of a harmonica CB sountrack that sounds like this?

  • 4 people dont know which direction is west.

  • Thanks for the up load man this is great!!!

  • i have this song on my cd and every night wen i drive or go out on them clear nights and just cruise listening to this song

  • I showed this girl I met, episode 25 where they played this song at the end. this is what she said.

"I never knew a cartoon could be so intense, I like."

I don't care what anyone says cowboy bepop had this way of pulling you in, and the music it played just touched you some where you know?

  • @jtastic45

yes, I know it almost pulls your spirit right out of you.

  • @jtastic45 Fuck her it's not a cartoon. Her ignorance is unbearable to me.

  • @Hayaishin Cartoon = animation which last I checked is a valid description for anime, douchebag.

  • @0BatGirl0 Cartoon is a western term for animation that usually is compared to the piece of shit animation made here. It's very understandable to be insulted by it just like gun enthusiasts hate when people call magazines 'clips'.

  • @Hayaishin You shouldn't stereotype, it's just lying to yourself and those who hear you. America has plenty of "Adult" (not porn, mature) cartoons, you just have to search for them. Off the top of my head: Mission Hill, Squidbillies, King of the Hill, The Venture Bros. The Animation Ghetto Age has largely passed, stop clingging on to it.

  • @xjxm None of those are serious. I like them but they are not a serious show except maybe The Venture Bro. a little bit.

  • Comment removed

  • @Hayaishin It's plain American to deal with adult issues in a comedic way (folks just don't want to be dragged down) but even shows like The Justice League deal with such topics as the abuse of power, paranoia, raw, human hatred, the price and trials of heroism, and so forth. Mission Hill dealt with a "loser" struggling to find satisfaction in life (with sitcom-style comedy), King of the Hill has a changing social climate vs Hank trying to stick to tradition. Squidbillies... is just funny.

  • @xjxm Beyond Adult Swim, which I love most of, western animation has given us Disney (Fantasia 2000 is the single greatest example if animation of all time), Warner Bros, Pixar, Don Bluth, Ralph Bakshi, Genndy Tartakosky, Hanna Barbera, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon I could go on and on. I don't know why there's still this big divide between east and west. As Avatar: The Last Airbender has proven, the two can blend together quite nicely.

  • @0BatGirl0 I just had a blush of nostalgia reading your comment. Thank you.

  • @Hayaishin Actually I prefer western animation most of the time over anime, have I any right to be insulted by you calling it a 'piece of shit'? No, I'm mature enough to not take it personally.

My problem is your complete lack of manners towards a stranger and his girlfriend who didn't know any better. I'm sure you're an expert on things you've just experienced.

  • @jtastic45 You started your girl on episode 25? Dude, they were good episodes, but you started by showing her the near-end first? I don't know if that was a good idea, mate. Should've started her with something more self-contained.

  • "Find what you lost and get it back"

  • "All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain...Time to die."

  • this brought tingles up my spine and tears to my eyes. i love cowboy bebop with a passion

  • @BKSpAzOne yooo, I know what you mean. Sometimes music speaks to me like that, I get good vibes. Feels like ecstasy for a certain amount of time. I listen to old ost's of games i played as a kid and i get that feeling, nostalgia, fucking bliss. Didn't know other people felt it too, feels better then sex ;p

  • This sounds so mellow....Luvin this song right now!

  • Ahhhhh..... "sigh". Just great.

  • For all fans of this style of jazz, check out Bohren and der Club of Gore. Weird sounding name I know, but I assure you it is breath taking.

  • Comment removed

  • Remindsa bit of the Blade Runner OST.

  • its jazz like this that goes deep, i wish i can find more if you or anyone knows more please send me some i would love it.

  • @rukus100821 me too please.

  • "adios cowboy"

  • this give me the rest, damn!!!

  • 83,000th viewer right here!

  • Though I was a big fan of the Cowboy Bebop Anime, I didn't really like most of the series soundtracks(Cowboy Bebop has multiple soundtracks for those that don't know), but I must say that "Blue" was the absolute best soundtrack from the anime IMHO. Not only did I think the album was ahead of it's time, it could also stand on it's own without the CB anime license as well. Just my take.

  • this song hits me like a brick wall every time. love it

  • the red eyed cayote will appear in the zona norte

  • You know what would be cool? If someone transfered this onto vinyl. All the clicks and pops and white noise...

  • if u listing and close your eyes, this kinda when of those times, your in a bar, all foggy/smoky, your leaned up against a wall smokin a cigarette, and your just chillin listining to the music, drinking a mixed drink, maybe a appletini, just chill.

  • @vivalavida2154 whisky on the rocks is more like it ;-)

  • I love this song.

  • She said you'd know what she meant.

    Well, i don't.

    Her name is Julia...

  • This makes me want to smoke a cigarette and day dream about all the by-gone women of my life.

  • Why haven't youtube created the replay button yet?

  • "We'll never get outta here now. I'll never see Mars"

  • @Hendryx808 That was a deep scene man.

  • @Hendryx808 who knows eventually we humans will leave earth

  • One of the best songs EVER!!!

  • this song is very sad

    but good

  • @7193ds Do you think you sound cool for that? Your story is neither unique nor interesting. Get over it, or you could always crim0re and off yourself. It's your problem, the world doesn't care to know about it.

  • @Vaasago kinda harsh sure the story is cliche but still calmdown

  • Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Nujabes (R.I.P.), Force of Nature, Tsutchie, Fat Jon, and many others make beautiful masterpieces such as these and hide them from general civilization by putting them in animes. This is music that represent my mentality especially with Nujabes music, which is why im glad not many people no of this kind of escape route from reality because if they did they probably ruin it with a lil wayne, gucci or waka flaka remix. Thank God for these Masters of Melodies...

  • "Spike can you still fly..?

Don't worry about us just go..

Find what you lost and get it back..

    Go.."

  • After searching for his lover who has ran way form home, Sky lays in the back seat of his car. As the rain pores down upon his window, he thinks of her and all the sweet memories they have shared. He longs for her. He wants her back but can't find her. Especially in this weather. "She said she wouldn't leave me." He thinks as he watches the rain slowly come down harder. His tears start to overflow as he thinks about what to do now. After all she was the only thing that kept him sane.

  • The perfect song for making love so passionately and wildly with someone. I know this from personal experience~

  • @ChoiChrisLi

For almost three whole minutes! Congrats broseph!

  • @ChoiChrisLi That's what they all say. >_>

This is good aftersex music, but like f**k if I'm gonna listen to this while going "PASSIONATELY AND WILDLY!". The two rarely go hand-in-hand... Sorry, that was mean, I didn't mean that.

  • @Gamechild951 Well I guess so... unless you have song on replay and just let it loop over and over... or as a before sex song, you know to get you in the mood.

  • @ChoiChrisLi Before sex-song sounds good too, actually... ^_^

  • This reminds me of Spike playing pool in the French bar. But then, holy shit. Mad Pierrot.

  • what can be said, can. what cant be said...

  • Adios....

  • a transcendent piece, truly remarkable in every sense of the word

  • Oh, I must have clicked on Blade Runner......

No, but seriously, this is amazing. Every part of it.

  • ahhh I feel Confused Where am I?

  • What's this type of soft music called?

  • @markgilst im pretty sure this fall under blues and or jazz :D soft blues and jazz

  • @MoshiMoshiMartin Like, stuff that sounds very similar to this particular song though?

  • @markgilst

    Cool Jazz.

  • @markgilst jazz fusion

  • @DarkDragonX1989 I wanna know the name for the genre of music that uses the same instruments used in this (the one that's not the sax mainly.)

  • @DarkDragonX1989 And what the other instrument in this song is called?

  • @markgilst simple keyboard/synthesizer.

  • I'm pretty sure music almost exactly like this is played in the movie Taxi Driver.

  • If anyone has lost loves and ties with some forgotten romance,,This Song is sure to make you remember that person......

  • This track has such a strong mood. I love how it displays this calm attitude but yet has so much energy. It almost gets chaotic.

  • forget weed this right here will give you all the high you need

  • @thenewoneluv cant go wrong with some red-eye though

  • @thenewoneluv

High as fuck right now thinking the EXACT same thing...

Feel like I should just sit back and kick it for days...

  • @thenewoneluv It's pretty nice to listen to while smoking weed though. It is up lifting I have to agree.

  • @thenewoneluv Ever tried em both? Very great combo.

  • If you like this, check out the group Bohren and Der Club of Gore. Really pretty dark jazz stuff like this.

For the record, this is my favorite song from my favorite anime.

  • @ProjectMIDIVIL

Thanks I checked them out. A song called "Constant Fear". Very nice.

  • This reminds me so much of Final Fantasy X's Wandering....The Saxophone takes it all the way to the sky..Like a midnight town Floating above it slowly looking down...Damn..

  • @sephyiroth agreed. that song is so chill!

  • All other jazz sounds like elevator music compared to this.

  • "Bang"

  • fuck i love this track at the end of ep25

  • When was this song played in the anime? I think I heard it when Spike was chasing Asimov in the 1st episode and then in the last episode but I'm not sure... In any case I really love this song, it's very soothing...

  • "Her name is Julia. Somebody is trying to kill her Spike, they're after her."

  • @dustylefou Hey Jet, I'm ready to take off..

  • is spike ok? =c

  • naaa they were both great

    Cowboy Bebop

    and

    ODST

  • Its like Im watching Blade Runner

  • Yes it IS! Among the reasons this show rocks so hard.

    @GenghisFREAKZemself

  • i was sooooo hooked on this show from the very first episode.....

  • reminds me of ODST

    ...just a little

  • @Em0c0w

indeed it should have been on odst...

  • @HodgePodge218 Except cowboy bebop was a great anime and odst was the most annoying halo game.

  • amazingly relaxing

  • everyone need to hear Miles Davis record Kind of blue

  • @EPION1989 Amen

  • Blade Runner-esque, no?

  • Can anyone recommend me something similar to this? So far, this is the only kind of Jazz I have come to enjoy. I can stand Jazz, but this is amazing!! Anyone know anything similar?

    Thanks in advance!
