Terrible call all the way around. Even if the LJ felt that forward progress was stopped and the ball dead in bounds, he can still see the chains if it's a first down, and should have stopped the clock for that. The white hat should have killed it as well, so he blew the call just as much.

Hey, at least Tech won, yeah I would have like to see more points on the board, but a 24-7 W looks the same in the win/loss column as a 44-7W.

BTW, that was a nasty catch draggins the toes by Hill at the end. I hope we see a lot more of that.

Unfortunately, Poor ACC refereeing has become extremely common. I can't locate it (would appreciate if someone would find it) but there was a poll in the off-season amongst players about how good their conference refs were, and ACC refs scored the lowest. I believe they were around 40-50% with the next lowest being above 60%...

Being a dick??? He had every right to come unglued. The clock should have stopped for the first down and/or the player being knocked out of bounds. I don't understand what that official was thinking.

I am not even an ACC fan, so I am totally unbiased. That official should be suspended or highly reprimanded.

(1) he got out of bounds and (2) it was a first down. either of those should have stopped the clock, but neither did. BAD officiating.
