  • I miss the 90s.....

  • it's so ironic how i found this song by accident and that every time i listen to it it gets me hyped to do anything and that it's called "happy" THIS FUCKING SONG IS AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGG

  • shoegaze, grunge, britpop, greebo, alternative, whatever... the 90s were the best. the best!

  • Alternative at its best.

  • @ameziaish is that a insult or compliment

  • oh man. they were so cute! i had such a huge crush on this band. to be young... i think this is a great feeling you can have when europe is still exotic and not normal. wow. neat!

  • Ned's Atomic Dustbin is easily one of the best bands of the 90's. Easily!!!

  • I'm happy I'm able to find and listen to this music vs the crap my generation has to listen to on the radio...

  • @oxmor There is actually a lot of great stuff coming out of our generation, you just got to find it!

  • @DopeSick408 Nothing mainstream.

  • @oxmor Doesn't mean its not out there or readily available. We got the internets and the infinite access to musical genius. So go now and open thine ears to the good and close them to the Beib.

  • @Muddy194 nor really (Love NAD, love English alternative too, but I'm American too)...we had Soul Asylum before they ever came 'round.

  • It's a cool vid & it also makes me happy!! Carol XX

  • How didnt they make it, were they out now they would...the early 90's was so odd

  • Heh, NAD was my first ever gig Thursday 24 Oct 1991 at the Derby Assembly Rooms, got a lift in in a car full of BMXs, lol, had such a great time, was gutted when my NAD shirt fell apart :(

  • What the fuck happened to our generation?

  • @Zenhumanist We just grew older........on the outside

  • @Zenhumanist we grew up and got old and then came the bills ,god damnit! be happy! thats the name of the song.

  • @Zenhumanist no s@#$ ...so many great bands from that time...so many gone...so sad

  • Wow, there is something to be said for a band when they can have dueling bass player like these and come out sounding as great as N.A.D did. I just wish groups today would take a hint from music like this and get some originality

  • excellent groupe

    mediafire(dot)com/?i2jqinmzmjo

  • @VanillaMidget I haven't forgotten... :)

  • 1991 is the best year for albums in the history of rock music -- find a list and check it out. Ned's should easily be in the Top 10 of that year. In retrospect, Nirvana would have a hard time cracking the Top 15.

  • Loved the variety in alternative music back then, miss those days.

  • excelent bro, i had this home video back in the 90's but i lost it, thanks very much, this is one of the best alternative bands of the world

  • Good lord I'm old now. I was the age of the young lads going to the show when this came out...now I feel like an old man...beautiful time, it was. Beautiful.

  • I like john better with shorter hair. his hair got a little too glam metally later on

  • Dan, Dan the fast drumming man, Alex plays one bass, Matt the other, Rat does guitar and John sings ...

  • @ERPPP its true :)

  • cool music!!! :)

    (even better comments! :(

  • Vintage Glen Lodge psycho Kev damaging carpet threadbare where he say on chair for 3 years solid in the same spot

  • absolute f*****g quality - see you tonight!

  • i swear, you've spelled sware incorrectly

  • too bad i wasnt born in the early 80s it would have been cool to be around as i am now when these guys and a ton of other bands were around im not saying todays music sucks but it was way better in the 90s even though i would rather grow up in the sixties this timezone would have been cool to

  • @xXSGTP3PP3RSXx i was around then and saw them several times...just the best around...great times

  • Too bad they were overshadowed by grunge, they were much better than most of it.

  • Excelente Gran Banda Y Tremendos Recuerdos Todavia Conservo Mi Viejo Cassette - Gracias Por Subir Esto !!!

  • I love that line "feeling so frustrated, even antiquated because you can't update me if I'm overrated. You can't update this!"

  • I forgot all about this group until I happened apon this video. Thank you sooooo much for posting this. It's made me so happy! It brought back memeories that I forgot that I had.

  • Remember I was here.Thai

  • Tuuuuuune!

  • sweeeetttttt - long time no hear!!!

  • reminds me of 120 minutes. that was a great show.

  • This group is one of the best bands I've ever seen live! Saw them twice at First Avenue in Minneapolis. Absolutely brilliant!

  • make's me think of mika lol yes you

  • @stellalegs72 was there to did a front summersault stage dive off the barrier when they played throwing things wudn`t do it now probably break my back hang on i`ll give it a go.................yep broke my back(fuck).

  • Still have my "Then You Fucked Up"

    Ned's T-Shirt

  • Love this so much, remind me so much of Letherface, Belfast Punks In Support Of Grebo Revival! LOL

  • Neds were the first band I ever saw live, It was amazing!

  • Were they part of the "Manchester" scene or did you have to be from Manchester?

    Either way, great band!!!!

  • @mythreekitties They were part of the Stourbridge scene a small town in the West Midlands. Neds, The Wonderstuff and Pop Will Eat Itself.

  • @ouzodave

    Tanks for the info!!!

    mythreekitties

  • @ouzodave

They' with The Wonder Stuff and Pop Will Eat Itself invented the grebo scene

  • They weren' that popular? And no-one talks about them. Think the masses of people at the last few sell out gigs in London might disagree with you there!

  • Anyone at Mandela Hall when the stage collapsed when The Neds were on stage?????

  • Love it. Feels like a life-time ago, though. 20 yrs later, and I am trying 13-yr-old daughter why two bass players in a band is cool.

  • must be one of the most underrated bands ever.. awesome stuff

  • NOT LOUD ENOUGH!

    fucking special tune though

  • In the days of being HAPPY............

  • 90s music is an amazing feeling.. It made you feel that you were a part of something even if you did not have any friends... it was a special sound, a feeling that is very very difficult to describe but to the people who know it... you know what I mean... Amazing music... Hope there will be another generation like this soon.

  • Neds!!!! 'I will talk maybe you will listen. But you won't hear a single word I've said'... And the memories from deep inside the moshpit comes flooding back. I still have the Are You Normal & God Fodder Tshirts!!! These guys were awesome. I guess they still are.

  • beautiful days 2010... :D

  • @foolishbiker1 oh what about it ? are these guys playing?

  • these dude were so fucking cool

  • soooo much great music. what the fuck happened!?it makes me angry....

  • Reminds me of being a kid.

  • yo, the extremely cute girl at 2:24 is my wife, i sware

  • haha... that is great

  • @nakedfun360 - IS that really your wife?

  • @nakedfun360 But do you swear?

  • @nakedfun360 Lucky you!

  • blink 182 owes alot to these guys

  • @skankin45 hmm....wow. never made the connection but i see what ur saying. Really takes me back. First time i got to third base was listening to this album.

  • Saw them live twice in Australia totally amazing live... And agree Nirvana stole the limelight but ned's win :)

  • @ggstar999 I agree!

Saw them at the Phoenician in Sydney -- as good as any live act I have seen. On par with Birdman, Garbage, Feelgoods, Buzzcocks, Saints, Sunnyboys ...

Too-rare experiences made valuable by their rarity, I guess.

  • People look so boring nowadays.

  • Neds were set to become 'the band' but then nirvana took all the limelight. They were a unique band in the fact they used two bass players and they had alot of very good songs. Classic band.

  • Such a nice song! Lovin the two bassists

  • best stuff no one's heard about.......love Neds!!!

  • @jbirdg23 they were pretty popular in the 90s in the US. I think they even used to send out tapes of Neds with Skateboarding magazines. Everyone at my school knew who they were.

  • @kemicon Oh get real, they weren't that popular. They never broke the billboard top 40 and they're barely ever talked about today. Jbirdg is more right than you are.

  • Awesome! WLIR here on Long Island was the place I was introduced to awesome bands/songs like this. Good times!

  • I lived in a place where you couldn't get modern rock radio in 1991, and I saw this video on some show, and it STOOD OUT. Ned's hold a special place in my heart, because they were that good, that fun, and never really caught a break.

  • epic !! Aww 90s u.u

  • thats a melody love it

  • please, welcome to the stage...NED'S ATOMIC DUSTBIN XD

  • thats one hell of a song they wrote there.

  • I will talk, and you will listen.

    Love it!

  • is this from a gig in holland or something? sweet stuff!!

  • I've spent all night watchin reruns of neds and the stuffies - only to find out they've both played gigs with 10 miles of me recently :(

Who remembers the 'fluro' foamed t shirts??? I think I've still got my neds one somewhere. Could'nt bear to get rid of it.

  • any idea where i could aquire any ned shirts? could only find the KYT one on ebay

  • Oh, man- I wish I still had mine. I am totally envious of you...

  • i love this song

  • Rules!

    Nothing is cool!

  • This is a classic band@@@@

  • The subliminal at 1:04 is a nice touch.

  • this song is still so vital. I love Ned's. i saw them live few times way back. they f***** rocked. Only overshadowed by Madchester leading up to shoe-gaze.

The only bands either side of the Neds that mattered then are the Roses, Mondays and Suede, Manics.

  • Fantastic. we are now old ;o)

  • we're not old. the rolling stones ARE old.

  • I'm still have the black promo tape with two songs. Great music never dies :]

  • Will never forget the one time i got to see them in Lauderdale Florida. and the thing that sucked is they were the opening band for Letters to Cleo wtf

  • damn i wish i was a 90's teen

  • Ahhhh, the T-Shirts, the C90 tapes, the floppy hair-do and bad dancing in my bedroom. Such memories. My lad is 6 months old and I'm going to demonstrate how to be a proper teenager on his 13th birthday by re-enacting my 5th form disco at his party (I wont be fingering a munter, obviously). Mortified? He will be.

  • Well I'm glad you are teaching you kid how to live his teenage years.

    I had to teach myself.

  • LOL Happy days of the school disco, getting all dressed up in my Doc Martins, rolled up jeans and freshy pressed God fodder Tshirt and grooming my long floppy fringe, fired up on vodka, stagger into the disco and finding a DJ in 1 corner, Goths in another corner, Moshers in another and all the Indy kids in the other, I forgot how much music shaped my life, I think a re-enactment of of a 1991 school disco is a great idea, they were truely happy days

  • @lee5500 Possibly the best thing I've ever read on youtube.

  • @lee5500 i wish, with all my heart that i could like this more than once

  • @legarageraj - I have no idea what that means.

  • I'm married, 41 with a kid on the way and still think Neds is the best.....I still think Rat was an innovator.....what sound he got

  • great music back then. Man Im gettin old:(

  • Very catchy hook. I remember owning this album and it was quite good.

  • You know, from start to finish, God Fodder could (maybe still can, haven't had a copy in years) always get my day going the right way. Really not a bad song on it.

  • saw them on the reform bout 5 years ago and got on the stage, told alex he was a class bassist the got chucked off the stage by security and the crowd caught me, never got to do a stage dive back in the day of the god fodder tour but did then... awesome night at the astoria in london!!!!!

  • briliant, saw em 30 odd times and had a wardrobe full of neds stuff!

    I even had a 'side-flange' hair-do.

    ahhhh, deep, deep joy.

  • these guys still sound so fucking good.. brings back good memories.
