it's so ironic how i found this song by accident and that every time i listen to it it gets me hyped to do anything and that it's called "happy" THIS FUCKING SONG IS AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGG
oh man. they were so cute! i had such a huge crush on this band. to be young... i think this is a great feeling you can have when europe is still exotic and not normal. wow. neat!
Did this song have another video where they were all in a room covered in different neon colors? Neon pain splattered all over the walls? Or was that another song? It was a promo video for the album. Used to be on YouTube but now it's not anywhere.
@oxmor Doesn't mean its not out there or readily available. We got the internets and the infinite access to musical genius. So go now and open thine ears to the good and close them to the Beib.
@Muddy194 you mean less than jake copied these guys and added the ska lol, i use to listen to this album when i was 12 i just turned 35 lol anyways these guys rocked, i miss you NED'S ATOMIC DUSTBIN!!!
Heh, NAD was my first ever gig Thursday 24 Oct 1991 at the Derby Assembly Rooms, got a lift in in a car full of BMXs, lol, had such a great time, was gutted when my NAD shirt fell apart :(
Wow, there is something to be said for a band when they can have dueling bass player like these and come out sounding as great as N.A.D did. I just wish groups today would take a hint from music like this and get some originality
1991 is the best year for albums in the history of rock music -- find a list and check it out. Ned's should easily be in the Top 10 of that year. In retrospect, Nirvana would have a hard time cracking the Top 15.
Good lord I'm old now. I was the age of the young lads going to the show when this came out...now I feel like an old man...beautiful time, it was. Beautiful.
too bad i wasnt born in the early 80s it would have been cool to be around as i am now when these guys and a ton of other bands were around im not saying todays music sucks but it was way better in the 90s even though i would rather grow up in the sixties this timezone would have been cool to
I forgot all about this group until I happened apon this video. Thank you sooooo much for posting this. It's made me so happy! It brought back memeories that I forgot that I had.
@stellalegs72 was there to did a front summersault stage dive off the barrier when they played throwing things wudn`t do it now probably break my back hang on i`ll give it a go.................yep broke my back(fuck).
They weren' that popular? And no-one talks about them. Think the masses of people at the last few sell out gigs in London might disagree with you there!
90s music is an amazing feeling.. It made you feel that you were a part of something even if you did not have any friends... it was a special sound, a feeling that is very very difficult to describe but to the people who know it... you know what I mean... Amazing music... Hope there will be another generation like this soon.
Neds!!!! 'I will talk maybe you will listen. But you won't hear a single word I've said'... And the memories from deep inside the moshpit comes flooding back. I still have the Are You Normal & God Fodder Tshirts!!! These guys were awesome. I guess they still are.

@skankin45 hmm....wow. never made the connection but i see what ur saying. Really takes me back. First time i got to third base was listening to this album.
Saw them at the Phoenician in Sydney -- as good as any live act I have seen. On par with Birdman, Garbage, Feelgoods, Buzzcocks, Saints, Sunnyboys ...
Too-rare experiences made valuable by their rarity, I guess.
Neds were set to become 'the band' but then nirvana took all the limelight. They were a unique band in the fact they used two bass players and they had alot of very good songs. Classic band.
@jbirdg23 they were pretty popular in the 90s in the US. I think they even used to send out tapes of Neds with Skateboarding magazines. Everyone at my school knew who they were.
@kemicon Oh get real, they weren't that popular. They never broke the billboard top 40 and they're barely ever talked about today. Jbirdg is more right than you are.
I lived in a place where you couldn't get modern rock radio in 1991, and I saw this video on some show, and it STOOD OUT. Ned's hold a special place in my heart, because they were that good, that fun, and never really caught a break.
cdickie73, the best long sleeve sweatshirt from this era was the poppies PWEI, sample it, loop it, fuck it, eat it design! still got mine in mint condition!! Mind you it might not fit now!!

this song is still so vital. I love Ned's. i saw them live few times way back. they f***** rocked. Only overshadowed by Madchester leading up to shoe-gaze.

Will never forget the one time i got to see them in Lauderdale Florida. and the thing that sucked is they were the opening band for Letters to Cleo wtf
Ahhhh, the T-Shirts, the C90 tapes, the floppy hair-do and bad dancing in my bedroom. Such memories. My lad is 6 months old and I'm going to demonstrate how to be a proper teenager on his 13th birthday by re-enacting my 5th form disco at his party (I wont be fingering a munter, obviously). Mortified? He will be.
LOL Happy days of the school disco, getting all dressed up in my Doc Martins, rolled up jeans and freshy pressed God fodder Tshirt and grooming my long floppy fringe, fired up on vodka, stagger into the disco and finding a DJ in 1 corner, Goths in another corner, Moshers in another and all the Indy kids in the other, I forgot how much music shaped my life, I think a re-enactment of of a 1991 school disco is a great idea, they were truely happy days
You know, from start to finish, God Fodder could (maybe still can, haven't had a copy in years) always get my day going the right way. Really not a bad song on it.
saw them on the reform bout 5 years ago and got on the stage, told alex he was a class bassist the got chucked off the stage by security and the crowd caught me, never got to do a stage dive back in the day of the god fodder tour but did then... awesome night at the astoria in london!!!!!

You know, from start to finish, God Fodder could (maybe still can, haven't had a copy in years) always get my day going the right way. Really not a bad song on it.
