I betcha the guy who invented Play Ball is a billionaire now. It just seems like one of those ideas that's so stupidly simple they make you wonder how you didn't think of it first. Either he's a billionaire or dirt poor. There is no in-between. lol.
The Levittown Tri-County Flea Market on Long Island used to be a Mays store. If you go in there, you can still see some remnants of the original Mays store...the ancient lighting fixtures on the ceiling (which aren't used anymore), the old exit signs, the old floor, etc. The entire exterior (except for the front facade) is still from when Mays was there.

All of May's stores (same as May Company-O'Neills) later became Kauffman's and they are all now Macy's.
