  • How does a group with this much talent become a one hit wonder? It doesn't make sense.

  • Sad Cafe is better than Toto? LOL! Nice try but, um, no.

  • When the boys were at their best ... excellent track from the one of the best bands to come out of Manchester ... fanx :)

  • One of those rare perfect songs. Not a thing wrong with it.

  • Great song and band.

  • zu hause -angekommen nach so vielen langen Jahren- SUCHE-danke danke danke

  • Great bass and keyboard work. I always liked this song. It never got enough airplay when it came out.

  • Sounds a bit like Steely Dan and Supertramp not bad

  • Do they still play this song on our Satellite Feed? I haven't heard them play it since sometime before the previous Holiday Season (they change it to Christmas music right around Thanksgiving)

  • On the Satellite Feed at my job they edit out the parts from 1:19 to 2:10

  • This is the best song that Toto has never done

  • I actually dreamt about that I've heard this song on the car radio just the other night, this is a great song that reminds me of something Toto, Boz Scaggs or Steely Dan would do

  • fell in love with this song from the first listen of misplaced ideals over 30 years ago, love it as much now.

  • Jesus!! The last time I heard this song I kicked the slats out of my cradle. Thank you for posting a great song.

  • Like djdavemick, I don't remember ever hearing this song on the radio...I 1st remember hearing it like 5-6 years ago on the muzak/dmx music systems at 1 of my jobs. I immediately could tell it was from that late 70's-early 80's era, but I thought it was Steely Dan or Toto or Poco or someone. Now it seems like I have been hearing it 4ever, cuz it sounds so familiar. Awesome post!!!

  • Great Song. I remember when it came out and have always enjoyed it.

  • Incredibly, have only heard this song working at and visiting McDonald's and Burger King--never heard on the radio. Awesome tune.

  • I agree...loved this song and others they did. Great sound engineering! I wonder if this can transfer to solo acoustic guitar? I'm going to sit down and try it. If it's any good I'll post it. Thanks for posting.

  • I had no idea there was an extended versions of this song until now. I had this album on tape and this extended version wasn't on there. Cool beans! :-D

  • Love this song. Been waiting and hoping someone would post it. Reminds me of my late teen years working late nights and listening to this song on the radio.

  • I wish today's music would sound alot like this again, these guys remind me of bands/artists like Boz Scaggs and Toto

  • R.I.P Paul. Anuder Gr8 Caf song

  • i have the lp this version is longer why

  • Love this song!...It should have been a HUGE hit in the USA...Still i remember it after 30 years.

  • Holy crap! I LOVED this song since it was released back in 1978 and always thought... "Man, that's a great song but too bad that it's way too short." The version I've always heard was like 2 1/2-minutes long. I had no idea that there was this 'uncut' version! Thank-you, THANK-YOU for posting this and resolving 30-years of frustration! I had to do a double-take when I saw the 6:04 running time but THIS version clearly is the way the song was meant to be.

  • don't you hate it when you hear a song you really like that turns out to be way too short? I think six minutes is the perfect length for songs like this

  • love the bass and keyboards

  • Toto were good, but not that good, we are talking about one of the best voices in the business, our Paul...from Manchester.

    Andrew King (Mancunian)

    Now in Canada

  • I've been looking for this song for so many years and I can't believe it was on here, I used to think it was Toto who did this song, these guys sound an awful lot like Toto IMO and I take that as a great thing, I only wish these guys were much more successful in the States

  • Dan great work....Glad someone else remembers this great tune from a very underrated band. Great sax and a very cool year.....Gabe

  • Glad someone else remembers this great tune......what a great sounding sax

  • Great song from the late 70's!

    Dan
