All you old fogies are taking this way too seriously! First of all- the fart sound is just some silly sound along with the goofy music playing in the background. And it's a play on the Manama-na skit with that beatnik type character just going off during while those other Muppets are teaching kids about forming words that rhyme with fat. Its funny as heck and kids like crazy stuff like this. So I don't think it's messed up.

Damn! I remember watchin this when I was like 4 years old, it was a bit disturbing even back then.. First, "Animal's" cousin comes out, farts, and says "fat." WTF! Then these pastel alien looking beatnicks are trying to jam/sing peacefully when all of a sudden that orange spaz (who's obviously on meth) runs up doing the G-D freak!.. What a buzzkill!!..
