Rosamonte yerba mate

Until recently, my favorite yerba mate was "La Tranquera." I've had Rosamonte, Cruz De Malta Intenso, Cruz de Malta Especial, Cruz de Malta Despalada and Cruz de Malta orginal; Canarias, Taragui, Amanda, Union (least favorite) and none of them compare to "Alianza Agricola." An organic yerba mate that is so delicious, it immediately made me question myself regarding all the yerba mate's I have been drinking. Do yourselves a favor, and order a bag of Alianza Agricola today.

i like rosamonte especial and when im done with the kilo bag i switch to canarias, i swing both ways

La tranquera is great if u dont like smoky flavor.

Rosemonte is only alittle smoky not as smoky as canarias. I also like union brand, which you should try if you don't like the smoky flavor.

@gottagobideo The most smoky tasting brand I tried was, probably the Rosamonte Especial. can you list those brands which are more or less smoky, cause I like them better then those which have the other flavor (I call it the dried grass:P)

I bought some Rosamonte yerba mate from Amazon. I like it so far and the mental clarity and energy boost it gives are phenomenal. I have a question for yerba mate drinkers. Why do certain companies (Rosamonte) smoke the yerba mate? Is it just for the smoked taste or what? Does the smoking remove any of the nutrient and antioxidants in the drink?

@likeOMGitsUNLTD i think the guaranies who originally drank it smoked it for some reason so it has to do with tradition. some people like it that way, i like it both smoked and unsmoked, though i believe the smoke does give it an interesting flavor. rosamonte especial is probably the best smoked one ive had. you should try an organic one called jesper , u can order it from mateworld. salud!

@sYnerGyZniGmA Oh I tasted about a dozen different brands, generally the elaborada variants, mostly Argentinian :-) So far I like the smoky ones better - like Rosamonte, Cruz de Malta, Nobleza Gaucha especial, La Merced Barbaqua ect.
