True Fact: You are less likely to die when you become a Marine. Don't ask why. You'll understand when you get there.....if you get there....good luck.
The one's saying that the military is a "brainwash" technique, are the pussies that are too scared to go in, and that's their excuse. Proud to say I'm enlisting with the Marine Corps. within a few months.
@OzIsOnCloudNine They don't understand that it's just the military culture rubbing off on us. Our personality is still intact. What happens when you go to a different country and live there for a couple years? Unless you just kept to yourself and didn't try and talk or socialize with anyone, chances are the ways of that country will rub off on you.
Even going to college in a sociologist's point of view is considered to be indoctrination. Or what the pussies like to call "brainwashing".
@OzIsOnCloudNine Son you are talking a lot of crap and you have not even accomplished anything in the military as of yet.. just set pace and go forward, but talking about what others have not done when you yourself have not stomped the earth in the US Military. Well just a little premature talk.
The military is a tool to brainwash , then manipulate otherwise good people who do not understand the reason the military exists. It exists to promote the goals of the wealthy elite and weapon merchants. The phony 911 stunt and Iraq war are purely to steal the oil of other nations. This was laid out in a 1997 book, by former national security advisor for President Carter. Zig Breznewski. The fact Americans still think OBL had a connection to 911 shows how well the media can fool the public.
Hey guys. My friend is was a marine for a couple years. Then he got promoted to reckon,. He told me he was in that big camp in CA "(Pendelton?) and there were only 4 of them in the squad, Actually we come from Ukraine, and thanks to the marines he got his green card and could stay in the us. I had to come back but got education here and opened up my own bussiness, making more than him.
I wonder why I video targeted at people who are thinking of becoming Marines and then Recon would use a video containing AIR FORCE for a bout a quarter of the video??? There is a 100% give away.
@36springer I believe it's more commonly known as "Feels good" and it's a real Cadence but The Unit just added "Rhythm" to it if you will and turned it into a theme song...

You really really don't want to be in force recon, & arent cut out for it period. Put it out your mind, cause you will never develop the tolerance level to see you through the initial training. Most Marines won't survive the first 4 years. Special, Elite forces are just that... think top 1%. @if1ookscouldkill ....you dont GO for Force Recon and Scout Sniper. You get chosen. I was chosen for both. It is a grueling time but if you keep your head into it and remember all the fellow Devil Dogs who have tried to do it and failed, you will succeed. Good luck in all you do.
@if1ookscouldkill You have to make it through the marines and be top of your troop, and be scouted to even TRY to get into the training for recon, and they are the best of the best. @if1ookscouldkill Just remember your leadership traits. The important ones (The ones that will get you through training) are in all caps :) : JUDGEMENT JUSTICE DEPENDEBILITY INTEGRITY DECISIVENESS TACT INITIATIVE ENDURENCE BEARING UNSELFIHNESS COURAGE KNOWLEDGE LOYALTY ENTHUSIASM Good luck and Semper Fi
@8187daytheory My Staff Sergeant was Force Recon, he spent 5 years with them because that is all allowed time the Corps gives you due to the tremendous hardships they go through, but to get back to the point, we could NEVER get shit out of him, he never talked about his experience. They sometimes know more than the CIA.
@77musica reallly? More than the CIA? what was your rate, were you an HM too? I recently got an HM rate, should ship out in a couple of months, hoping to go FMF and then Recon.....and really only 5 years, so I can only be with Recon as an HM for 5 years. hardships like shitload of fire fights and I bet the death toll is very high huh?
@saltyseamanzach you better believe i would die for this country brother i just started my transition in MARSOC. if you make SEALs ill see you down range! stay safe! Semper FI
Only you answer that one. I understand that you are going to need close to a high PFT, class one swim, and expert rifle qual, just to be considered for Indoc. Get squared away on your PT stuff.
@jjober1104 No disrespect if you are a Marine but a true Marine would always know to capitalize Marine not "marine".. i have a feeling you just wanted thumbs up -__-
@Assassinatem At least he is a Marine and not some bitch like you behind a computer talking shit. He has every right to capitalize Marines if he wants to.
@36springer How the fuck do you know if he is a Marine? If I said I was one you would think I was one too..of all Marines I've talking too they will emphasize the mistake of writing it the wrong way..Just for the fact he wrote the title wrong I dont believe him..So shut the fuck up, I'm entitled to my opinion whether you like it or not..And nobody was talkin shit in the first place--I was simply stating he IF he was one then he should know to capitalize it as it is a honorary noun..
@CanCalSo92 i dont need anyone to tell me to go recon. im just seeing how many thumbs ups for support i would get looks like i got as many as the video itself. plus if youre not ready to be recon youd just get dropped from training. they wouldnt put you in a position that you arent trained to be in.
@BKerry I don't know what it is, but there are classes of people who make absurd claims regarding themselves and the military. It is amplified when discussion is on special operations-capable units. I remember a guy who would NOT shut up about "I'm going to be a SeAL and this is what seals eat and I'm doing a SeAL pushup and my haircut is SeAL approved...." and on and on. Another group is the bar stool/keyboard commando: "I coulda/woulda been a "x".....". STFU and do it or don't, shitbricks.
@kenfo0 The other thing that pisses me off is today's jingoism. Anyone who joins any branch of the military is a hero and patriot? Hardly. The vast majority needed a job. The military is a microcosm of society: there are heroes, shitbricks, solid citizens, rapists, drug addicts, etc. It has become taboo in America to say ANYTHING critical regarding any military topic (like the budget or lack of leadership), and that is dangerous. Washington is likely spinning in his grave...
@jjober1104 You are not a Marine. If you were, you would give the title Marine proper capitalization. You are probably some puke poolee trying to get off by claiming something that you are not. Disgusting freak.
@unknow6name Yeah Man I know what you mean. SEALs are more laid back kinda guys. They do go out and wind down as well. But they are very mature guys. As far as training goes, learn the combat side stroke (you can youtube it). And do alot of calisthenics (push ups, pull ups and sit ups) and Run Run Run! Like I said go to SEALSWCC.com and find a mentor in your state and call him with your questions. Good luck man
Respond to this video... too but remember these guys go through the most intense training and missions. They don't have time to dick around, but they are absolutely a brotherhood. It's a very small community only about 2000-2400 active duty SEALs. In the unlikely event that I make it I will know more soon enough.
@unknow6name First off to be honest if you thought about going to BUD/S you'd better want it real bad. BUD/S is not like any other military school in the world, the weak or guys that just want to "see if its for them" don't make it. It's definitely something you have to want. As far as making it to "The Teams", those guys have a different brotherhood. It is a brother hood but not like your army or marine guys (no offence). The SEALs are real laid back family guys. I mean they have their moments
martink2007 good luck at BUD/S the actual failure rate has gone down a little bit.. i know cause i went through there. boot camp and all that is easy... PRE BuD/S in great lakes in the winter SUCKS but its what u make of it man. best of luck
@skata311 Thanks a lot. I will definitely embrace the suck. It will be cold but oh well. When did you go through? Like what class number were, and were you a winter class? Thanks again
@ZmantheG - If you are serious about one day enlisting into the Marine Corps, read through the FUTURE JARHEADS website that is linked on my profile page. It will get you started in the correct path and it will teach you what you need to know about the Marine Corps.
you guys are crazy if you consider 3 a "high number" to pass Indoc which is only 48 hours for Force Recon. Navy SEALs go through way harder training and their indoc is 3 weeks long and majority of the class doesn't quit until Phase 1. I met a guy who graduated BUD/S in 1988 and said an Ex Recon guy was one of the first to run for that bell, no lie. I respect all troops but just saying you guys are crazy with your stories. If only 3 out of 150 made it through Indoc then those guys were Pu**ys.
@martink2007 Navy SEALs will never be recon marines the training doesn't matter at all and for you to say that tells me you haven't ever been a recon marine, so once you have done it and done a tour then you can talk shit. But until then i would shut my mouth if i were you, my friend is a Navy SEAL and he watched what we did and he was astonish, Lance Cpl. Charles Seth Sharp, 20, of Adairsville, Ga.; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II
@paintballallday90 I'm not into internet wars or whatever your trying to do. I made my point and will leave it at that. Your right I haven't been a recon and don't plan on it. I'm going SEAL ship out Dec 8th. Met a few recon guys, good guys definitely not SEALs though. So if I were you I would shut your mouth you don't sh*t about me or what I was trying to say. It takes a special person to go through BUD/S and make it, but on the other hand a recon comes a dime a dozen.
@martink2007 your not even a seal yet, you have no idea a bout recon marines. I never talked shit a bout seals i said the training is very differnt and neither one of them are better warriors just different kinds, and to be honest SEALs are a dime a dozen all of you are the same think your the greatest until you get in a firefight and dont know what the fuck your doing, all the older seals i have respect for but this new generation knows nothing (this is coming from a 20 year old).
@paintballallday90 I know I'm not a SEAL. I never was even arrogant enough to even say I am one. I said I'm going SEAL which means I'm attempting. I'm a nobody right now and I plant to change that in the near future. Don't get me wrong recon training is tough, none of this stuff is easy. SEALs are not a dime a dozen haha most guys that step foot into BUD/S don't walk out with good results. I'm not saying I will either, but I know plenty of guys that did recon and failed at BUDS after so....
@martink2007 and i know tons of people who did BUDS and failed at recon ive seen the navy seal training and yes it tough but watch surviving the cut recon marine you will have a new respect honestly i want to be in the recon marine but its going to be the hardest thing ive done in my life
@paintballallday90 Tell me about it I ship in a week and should hopefully be out at BUD/S by April. No spec ops training is easy, and I've seen the recon surviving the cut. Good luck with that route. It'll definitely be the toughest thing for me as well
@paintballallday90 Oh and SEALs are truly a national asset and simply the best. If they weren't the best then I wouldn't try my hand at it, maybe I'd do recon then..maybe haha
@martink2007 the marine force recon the special fore of the usmc is the marines answer to the seals the force recon and seals train side by side at times and basic training 4 the marine corps is nearly as hrd as the seals training the for recon boot camp has a higher drop out than the seals sooooo......... yeah
@rickyirishman Ok so I guess that my buddy (and I won't say his name) who went through BUDS class 279 and started out with 250 class mates in May 2009. And only 12 yes 12 guys made it through SQT (SEAL Qualification Training) so therefore I believe that's a higher number than 50% or whatever your recon failure rate is. I don't like using numbers but since you wanted to go that route..and I seen your surviving the cut series haha guys were quitting treading fucking water! You kidding me? So yeah
@martink2007 That is the easiest part of BUD/S. Just because marine boot camp is harder than navy boot camp doesn't mean Recon is harder than SEAL. My personal trainer is ex force recon in the 80's and 90's. Said he trained with SEALs in the Phillipines and he said those guys embarrassed him and his guys. I shit you not. He's a good guy, tough as nails. But like he said theirs only 1 thing harder than BUD/S..and that's dying
@rickyirishman Idk what sources you got but last time I checked Marine Force Recon had a failure rate similar to Rangers not SEALs. To say they got a higher failure rate is a joke. Like I said I ship out on the 9th under a SEAL contract to pursue my dream. If SEALs weren't the best and recons in fact were, then I would try recon. But lets face it Recon training isn't on the same level as BUD/S. Any guy that says "I Cant" the day of graduating Recon school is pathetic. You would never see that at
what job in the military get good combat training but doesnt fight much because i want to be highly training to be a "B.A" but i dont want to be on the front lines...i loveee weapons:)
@TheAirsoftbeast22 doesn't exist...Air Force PJ's even go into combat zones during their search/rescue missions. Don't join the military looking for a combat oriented MOS unless you're willing to die doing it. Theres plenty of classes available to civilians that will teach you the skills it seems like you want to learn.
@TheAirsoftbeast22 Alright now shut up, your not only disrespecting but your being illiterate. Two things i hate. Now i read your comment about getting combat training? if thats all you want train yourself otherwise your in for some shit.
@hunterdwhitley1993 Yeah LOLOLOL. Whatever. Marine Recon has the Option of Ranger school if they want. If they make it I think they can sing whatever they want.
@coolbeans22ful It has virtually no attrition rate...if that tells you anything. It's not all its cracked up to. Just yelling....nothing hard about getting yelled at
@TreJay No attrition Rate? I was a Corpsman with these guys, Marine Recon and especially Recon Basic has a higher attrition rate than most. I will try and get the numbers but if it was just getting yelled at, everyone would do it.
"The Unit" is an Army unit. it's officially called "combat applications group", used to be called Delta Force

77musica 1 year ago
@77musica reallly? More than the CIA? what was your rate, were you an HM too? I recently got an HM rate, should ship out in a couple of months, hoping to go FMF and then Recon.....and really only 5 years, so I can only be with Recon as an HM for 5 years. hardships like shitload of fire fights and I bet the death toll is very high huh?

36springer 1 year ago

BKerryFTW 9 months ago
@BKerry I don't know what it is, but there are classes of people who make absurd claims regarding themselves and the military. It is amplified when discussion is on special operations-capable units. I remember a guy who would NOT shut up about "I'm going to be a SeAL and this is what seals eat and I'm doing a SeAL pushup and my haircut is SeAL approved...." and on and on. Another group is the bar stool/keyboard commando: "I coulda/woulda been a "x".....". STFU and do it or don't, shitbricks.
kenfo0 9 months ago 2
@kenfo0 The other thing that pisses me off is today's jingoism. Anyone who joins any branch of the military is a hero and patriot? Hardly. The vast majority needed a job. The military is a microcosm of society: there are heroes, shitbricks, solid citizens, rapists, drug addicts, etc. It has become taboo in America to say ANYTHING critical regarding any military topic (like the budget or lack of leadership), and that is dangerous. Washington is likely spinning in his grave...
kenfo0 9 months ago
@kenfo0 It must compensation for an inadequate aspect of his life.

Good luck man
martink2007 1 year ago
Respond to this video... too but remember these guys go through the most intense training and missions. They don't have time to dick around, but they are absolutely a brotherhood. It's a very small community only about 2000-2400 active duty SEALs. In the unlikely event that I make it I will know more soon enough.
martink2007 1 year ago
@unknow6name First off to be honest if you thought about going to BUD/S you'd better want it real bad. BUD/S is not like any other military school in the world, the weak or guys that just want to "see if its for them" don't make it. It's definitely something you have to want. As far as making it to "The Teams", those guys have a different brotherhood. It is a brother hood but not like your army or marine guys (no offence). The SEALs are real laid back family guys. I mean they have their moments
martink2007 1 year ago
martink2007 good luck at BUD/S the actual failure rate has gone down a little bit.. i know cause i went through there. boot camp and all that is easy... PRE BuD/S in great lakes in the winter SUCKS but its what u make of it man. best of luck

23PorkNBeans 1 year ago
you guys are crazy if you consider 3 a "high number" to pass Indoc which is only 48 hours for Force Recon. If only 3 out of 150 made it through Indoc then those guys were Pu**ys.
martink2007 1 year ago
@martink2007 Navy SEALs will never be recon marines the training doesn't matter at all and for you to say that tells me you haven't ever been a recon marine, so once you have done it and done a tour then you can talk shit. But until then i would shut my mouth if i were you, my friend is a Navy SEAL and he watched what we did and he was astonish, Lance Cpl. Charles Seth Sharp, 20, of Adairsville, Ga.; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II
paintballallday90 1 year ago
@paintballallday90 I'm not into internet wars or whatever your trying to do. I made my point and will leave it at that. Your right I haven't been a recon and don't plan on it. I'm going SEAL ship out Dec 8th. Met a few recon guys, good guys definitely not SEALs though. So if I were you I would shut your mouth you don't sh*t about me or what I was trying to say. It takes a special person to go through BUD/S and make it, but on the other hand a recon comes a dime a dozen.
martink2007 1 year ago
@martink2007 your not even a seal yet, you have no idea a bout recon marines. I never talked shit a bout seals i said the training is very differnt and neither one of them are better warriors just different kinds, and to be honest SEALs are a dime a dozen all of you are the same think your the greatest until you get in a firefight and dont know what the fuck your doing, all the older seals i have respect for but this new generation knows nothing (this is coming from a 20 year old).
paintballallday90 1 year ago
@paintballallday90 I know I'm not a SEAL. I never was even arrogant enough to even say I am one. I said I'm going SEAL which means I'm attempting. I'm a nobody right now and I plant to change that in the near future. Don't get me wrong recon training is tough, none of this stuff is easy. SEALs are not a dime a dozen haha most guys that step foot into BUD/S don't walk out with good results. I'm not saying I will either, but I know plenty of guys that did recon and failed at BUDS after so....
martink2007 1 year ago
@martink2007 and i know tons of people who did BUDS and failed at recon ive seen the navy seal training and yes it tough but watch surviving the cut recon marine you will have a new respect honestly i want to be in the recon marine but its going to be the hardest thing ive done in my life
paintballallday90 1 year ago
@paintballallday90 Tell me about it I ship in a week and should hopefully be out at BUD/S by April. No spec ops training is easy, and I've seen the recon surviving the cut. Good luck with that route. It'll definitely be the toughest thing for me as well
martink2007 1 year ago
@martink2007 good luck marine you will need it.
slray518 1 year ago
@paintballallday90 Oh and SEALs are truly a national asset and simply the best. If they weren't the best then I wouldn't try my hand at it, maybe I'd do recon then..maybe haha
martink2007 1 year ago
@martink2007 the marine force recon the special fore of the usmc is the marines answer to the seals the force recon and seals train side by side at times and basic training 4 the marine corps is nearly as hrd as the seals training the for recon boot camp has a higher drop out than the seals sooooo......... yeah
rickyirishman 1 year ago
@rickyirishman Ok so I guess that my buddy (and I won't say his name) who went through BUDS class 279 and started out with 250 class mates in May 2009. And only 12 yes 12 guys made it through SQT (SEAL Qualification Training) so therefore I believe that's a higher number than 50% or whatever your recon failure rate is. I don't like using numbers but since you wanted to go that route..and I seen your surviving the cut series haha guys were quitting treading fucking water! You kidding me? So yeah
martink2007 1 year ago
@martink2007 That is the easiest part of BUD/S. Just because marine boot camp is harder than navy boot camp doesn't mean Recon is harder than SEAL. My personal trainer is ex force recon in the 80's and 90's. Said he trained with SEALs in the Phillipines and he said those guys embarrassed him and his guys. I shit you not. He's a good guy, tough as nails. But like he said theirs only 1 thing harder than BUD/S..and that's dying
martink2007 1 year ago
@rickyirishman Idk what sources you got but last time I checked Marine Force Recon had a failure rate similar to Rangers not SEALs. To say they got a higher failure rate is a joke. Like I said I ship out on the 9th under a SEAL contract to pursue my dream. If SEALs weren't the best and recons in fact were, then I would try recon. But lets face it Recon training isn't on the same level as BUD/S. Any guy that says "I Cant" the day of graduating Recon school is pathetic. You would never see that at

@TheAirsoftbeast22 doesn't exist...Air Force PJ's even go into combat zones during their search/rescue missions.
