They gang up on other lions to kill them, they murder lion cubs deliberately when they take over a pride, and they push the females off a kill so they can eat first and most even after taking no part in the hunt themselves. Rather disreputable characters, I'd say.

@inceptionof1994 I don't think the tiger has a speed advantage over lions but they are considerably stronger than lions and weigh, on average, at least 100 lbs more than lions do. Some people think that because lions indulge in territorial disputes that they are more accomplished fighting machines. But tigers engage in fights to the death over territory all the time and in India the most common cause of death to a wild male tiger is to be killed by another tiger. They are ferocious fighters.
