@billyboygri I was panhandling with Ted "The Golden Voice" Williams for a bit, but now I'm here to kick ass and chew bubblegum. And I'm all out of bubblegum.
Canadian government first forced First Nations children into residential schools and then abandoned their education entirely. I know it's a sensitive issue, but maybe Aboriginal-led First Nations schools are the way to go so save the kids. Something has to be done, or we'll continue to lose them to MTV and gang influences. I wonder what needs to happen to make Canadians take action.
@BigLaxFan94 - No one is going to argue that dealing with bureaucracy is easy...But I think there are also other issues, like engineering constraints. I've read about some areas where the engineers say, we can't build a water treatment centre here because of the location. Some communities have been given offers to re-locate to a place where a water treatment could be built, but they don't want to because of the history of forced relocations and their connection to the land.
@BigLaxFan94 - A lot of "settlers" who live in the country don't have Government provided water either. Most people who live on farms or in the country live off well water or water bottles. Outside of municipalities there is usually no water treatment plants.
@BigLaxFan94 - Yeah I'm sure that is true in some cases. But in a lot of cases Natives are trying to gain more independence through self-Government. It seems like they want to have it both ways when they say they want self-Governance but then turn around and ask the Government to provide Government Services...
Dope video, look forward to hearing more tracks in the future. Do you have a fan page on Facebook? Post up the link if you do, I'd like to check it out. Thanks
As to the clean water in reserves "conspiracy", I know that the Curve Lake First Nation Territory (reserve) in Ontario has their own dept of Public Works and also "Capital Projects" that works on Sanitation and Water Treatment.
Is it just a lack of money that makes it so that some reserves have clean water and some don't? If Curve Lake can give themselves clean water what is the barrier that other reserves have?
Btw this is not some kind of diss/judgement. Its a legit question.
@ThePerfectPlex I did miss the point about pollution. But I think it is more than that that is keeping some rezes from having clean drinking water. There are so many homes built without any plumbing, remote areas with no water filtration (even water from unpolluted rivers/lakes has deadly bacteria). No one is going to argue that pollution is a big problem though. "Engineers without Borders Canada" builds water treatment facilities in Africa but doesn't do anything for Canada, that's a prob too.
@TheSteamwhistle There all types of barriers preventing that type of action. Addictions. Corruption on the reservations. The cycle of abuses handed down through the generations. Our history is being rewritten by the media in front of our eyes, and there's not a lot we can do about it. Slowly, but surely, natives are climbing out of an oppressive state. But it's too early for the majority to just sit down and say, "here...tomorrow we're going to start building a water treatment plant."
Lol, everytime I watch this I see something more disturbing than the last time, like that lady in the wig pushing a baby strolling full of cash and then flipping out...with froth coming out of her mouth.
@ThePerfectPlex ugh i think it is bro, wana come tuck me in? jk man its good but you missed alot of other parts for the song didnt get the message across the way it should have.. the video aint strong enough for the lyrics you put into it
Samian and Shauit's version is better. Period.

@TheSteamwhistle I think you're missing the point. Oil and mining companies are poisoning rivers and lakes that run through native communities.
