This guy is my aerobatic hero. I want to one day fly his routine and survive it..ask him if I can use some of his moves as my own and then just do my own thing. Plan to be an aerobatic pilot while serving my country as a Marine. This guy does some of the most amazing stunts I have ever seen. Semper-fi Sean D!

That's not the same. They've got ejection seats, and they bailout because there's no way they can safely control their aircraft. It's different when you can at least somewhat maintain control, and keep it away from anyone who could be injured. Then jump out while avoiding being hit by the tail

I was stating that military pilots have to bail out of aircraft over ENEMY territory all the time and never receive recognition unlike this guy that puts himself in the predicament for fun. This guy obviously does this on his own free will. Military pilots don't. Thats their job. They should be the ones getting recognition.

Saw Sean Tucker today for the first time at San Francisco Fleet Week. Was blown away by his skill. Was moveed to research him a bit. Loved hearing about his experience in 2006 and am not saddened to hear the mean spirited comments about this great pilot. Of course he's got a bit ego -- as do most pilots. c'mon. give the guy a break, he's amazing.

Sean Tucker is as good an airshow pilot as they get. He is recounting a story for a group that wants to hear an "exciting" story. His joy of flying is evident in everything he does. He flew to Tucson with us one time. Totally humble, really nice guy.

I enjoyed this press conference. I have been in the airshow business and attend Oshkosh every year and Sean is one of the very few that I actually watch fly anymore. As an aerobatics instructor in my Pitts S2-C it's important to learn from others, and in this case that is my point. Anything you can learn from others misfortunes will make your knowledge pool deeper, and in aerobatics there is always things to learn.

As I remember it, Sean (not Shawn) lost his airplane a couple of days prior to this press conference at Sun 'n Fun. I believe he was scheduled to fly at the show, but couldn't without the airplane. This press conference was held to explain things. ...I don't understand the Sporty's reference.
