  • In the Spirit of Argentina ..Tango 1.. Bendaras & Madonna in Evita

  • thanks will be looking for the songs :)))

  • Well the original song was made by Carlitos, but i guess this especific version is the Astor Piazzola's version

  • I like Madonna but I just don't feel her in this act : ( but Antonio very passionate and would be hard not to fall in love with him.

  • Guys, what's the name of this song? Thank you.

  • Watch it with the right music, they are having a fight about ideologies. In the end, neither one wins

  • Lovely..

  • i love 2 dance tango i learn very young and the only person i dance wih is my mama

    viva portugal....

  • what is this?

  • Evita

  • The movements are like that f stalking prey, one characteristic of the dance is that the female dancing on her toes, and the dance is very powerful with emotion.

  • Is this really the tango?

  • Yes. And its call: "Por una cabeza"

  • I totally don't get how Antonio Banderas' character is based on Che Guevara.

  • Banderas' character is supposed to be Che Guevara and in the play he sings in protest of the government. Of course, in real life, Che would have had nothing to do with Evita, as she was part and parcel of the corruption. The real Eva Peron created an image of being pro working class and made superficial efforts in this regard, but she quietly amassed a large fortune. Che, on the other hand, really put his money where his mouth was, as he dedicated his entire life to fighting injustice.

  • Meant to say, "Eva Peron was part of the corruption in Argentina at that time." I mistyped.

  • I dont think the musical demonizes her, it shows the drama of her existance and what she meant to people, che was there ellusively to counterbalance the glamour..almost as her own guilt for not sloving all the problems.

Guevarra sentenced many people to death after the revolution in cuba, and fought during it. But he realy acted little differently of the statesmen existing at the time.

And Batista needed to go, he and the mob were leeching off the country big time.

  • @EbsNhexz IMO, dictatorships are dictatorships and all are bad. Batista needed to go, yes, but I would have liked to have seen a true democracy in Cuba, and not a communist regime. Unfortunately, I don't think there'll ever be democracy in Latin America-- anywhere.

  • @GoddessofCoruscant

Well I think it is a matter of opnion and political orientation. While I do condemn Che on his mistakes, he was brutal and heartless when it came to killing his enemies, I think that it is a good thing that Cuba is independent from America and it's neoliberal economic system. Actually I think a socialist regime is much better than letting countries like USA and some european countries suck them dry and enslave them.

  • @Cheerioats well I don't agree with you on that at all. Sorry. However, I do agree with you on Eva. She was a terrible fascist bitch, and her comments on women's rights were terrible and insulting to the feminists who were jailed and some even tortured to get women their basic human rights. So I'm glad we can agree on some things even if we totally disagree when it comes to economics.

  • @Cheerioats also, totally unrelated, but Peronists have blocked me on youtube when I dare to speak about what Evita really did. Quite a hoot, isn't it?

  • @GoddessofCoruscant

haha well ok, I am not going to discuss with you then Che and his wrongdoings as well as maybe what he managed to do (even thought I think he failed in so many aspects I can understand why he is to many so inspiring) but yeah Eva was a fascist bitch and honestly I don't think much of fascist. The neonazis in germany also try to gain many young people by propagating that they are against exploiting third world countries, against globalization as it is now

  • @Cheerioats well it's good we agree on Eva, if not on other things. :) Eva really was a disaster for Argentina. Before them, they were rising to be a world power rivalling my country. Now? Not so much.

  • @GoddessofCoruscant Im also a big fan of democracy, i like the ideals of communism but ive never seen it work without a dictator, which in my mind stops it being communism and brings it closer to fascism. It just annoys me how many powerful democracys would back one dictator but alienate another to keep countrys near to its boarder weak. And at the end of the day the way of life in cuba dramatically improoved during Castros regime, and i hope Cuba keeps some of its socialist infrastructure.

  • @EbsNhexz I'd have to politely disagree with you on Cuba. In my opinion Batista and Castro are two sides of the same coin and they both took Cuba in a terrible direction. The embargo is partially to blame, but most of the blame falls on Castro IMO. But the Perons I think were worse. They took Argentina from first to third world status. Cuba was already fucked.

  • what is your concept of democracy? liberal democracy social democracy? there is democracy in latin america i´m argentinian and i live in a democratic country, USA is not an example of true democracy by the way bush cheated in the election of 2000, he lost the election and was eected president by the supreme court, the popular will was ignored by the highest court of USA, electoral fraud by the manipulation of the vote machines is common in the democracy of democracies, .

  • @Argentinoylatino I was in the U.S. at the time. If anyone cheated it was Al Gore. Asked for, & got, a recount in a count he had already won. Also, due to time differences a count was 'called' when not all the State had voted. In Chicago a judge ok'd the polls staying open so that the Dems. could bus in a load of people to vote for them. So no manipulation by Bush, plenty by the Dems!!

  • @rafhenlow You´re talking abaout a City, The things that happened in Florida are worldly known, So many peopel in Florida didnt vote because they were taken of the lists, Electoral fraud is not only a thing that happens in Latin America, it happens in the "Mother of the Democracies", even in the XXI century, its just a paradox, those who citicise our electoral system up in the north, cheat in their own elections too, so your sistem its not so great

  • @Argentinoylatino Florida is not a city. There will always be cries of 'foul' whatever the outcome, but the U.S. is not a dictatorship. The U.S. is a Republic, run on Laws laid down. No General 'Whoever' can take over & make a great many people disappear. You won't find mothers walking around with photo's of missing family members demanding that the govt. tells them where they are,as happened in Argentina There are checks & balances in most countries, some have caught up, others ?, no intention.

  • @rafhenlow I know that Florida is not a City, is a State but you were talking about a city, Chicago is a City,OK thats right, i didn´t say that the US is not a democracy, i sayd it is not a true democracy, Of course that Argentina has a lot to walk we are a democracy of 27 years, But some people think that Peron was a dictator, he wasnt a dictator, Videla was a dictator, Ongania was a dictator, Uriburu was a dictator, but not Peron

  • @Argentinoylatino U.S. is not a demoracy, it is a REPUBLIC, run on a constitution & Laws, not on popular votes.

  • @rafhenlow It's actually both if you want to get technical about it. The structure of the government is that of a republic but it is based on a democratic value system. That is one of the things that differentiates our country from other republics to put it in simple terms.

  • @Argentinoylatino: he was a "gattopardo" , he made a coup du fact and took the power; he wasn't a democrat at all, he was absolutist and personalist.

  • @rafhenlow Democrats republicans dont you know that they´re the same, they have the same fundaments, protectc the rich industrialists and financial especulators above the people

  • @Argentinoylatino I would still rather live in the U.S. than Argentina. Dems. & Republicans are not the same. Under the Rep. you make your own way, Dems?, they take from workers to give to shirkers. Same here in the U.K.

  • @rafhenlow i dont care where you want to live, you can live where you prefer, under the Reps, you can make your own way, but you need to have money, under the dems you can make your own way, you need to have money, but you will pay taxes, thats the difference, they dont have an inclusive program, they´re managed by Wall Street

  • @Argentinoylatino My son went to the U.S. with nothing, as did my brother-in-law. Through hard work they have both done VERY well for themselves & their families.

  • @rafhenlow aha , a lot of americans came to Argentina because in the US htey couldnt live bacause of the recesion, and they are prosperous employers here in Argentina, a friend of my granfather lives in valencia and he has a prosperous restaurant in valencia, but not everything is done with hardwork , there is not equality of oprtunities for all, a british has more chances of prosperity in the US than a mexican, because a british is WASP and a mexican is half aztec, half spanish

  • @Argentinoylatino My other brother-inlaw, Mexican. Has his own business, or did until retirement. Very succesful, owned horses. This in Ca. You have bought into the lie that you cannot get on because of the colour of your skin or ethnicity. I worked with Vietnamese, Hispanics, all in different stages of their journey. Some prepared to stay as they were, like me, others going to night school. I helped with their English. In your hands my friend. I am content to be me, where I am.Hated school.

  • @evaperonfan

    Are you serious?

She was not a criminal? She was fascist she helped nazis from germany to flee and gave them place in her country to stay and you call that an innocent woman?

Fascism is a crime not an opinion!

Che maybe failed in some of his ideals but he was someone who cared for the poor people, who wasn't scared to put his own life at risk for others. Yes he killed many people especially the Batista. It was brutal.

  • @Cheerioats I guess you're right. I'm sorry for my uninformed opinion. I'm going to try and change my name to AnneBoleynfan.

  • @Cheerioats I agree with you on Eva, but not on Che.

  • @evaperonfan

But Evita helped mass murderers to flee too. She may not have done the dirty work, she simply let others do it. At least Che fought his fights himself. Maybe you should check out history before starting to condescend others. Eva peron was was fascist bitch.

  • @Cheerioats well, youtube won't let me change my name, (I've been trying to for 3 weeks)so I'm going to delete my account. I'm also going to inform some of the other evita fans on here that they are wrong-- if they'll listen, that is. But they probably won't. But you will not change my opinion on Che though. I still don't like him. I've changed my hero, and it's Susan B. Anthony now

  • @evaperonfan good for you for waking up, but the Evita fanatics won't listen, just as you said. They've been blinded and brainwashed by the Peronist propoganda and their own deluded vision of the world. I hate to think what would happen if any of them became politicians or got into any position of power. But thankfully mostly all they can do is rant and rave on the internet. TBC

  • @evaperonwasbad oh, and I meant to write face, not fact, it was a typo. :)

  • @evaperonfan The Evita fans won't do anything for the world, except make it worse with their dictator loving ways. And they can't change history, no matter how much they want to. No matter how much they want to change it, Eva Peron(and her husband) stole from the rich, ruined Argentina's economy, and harbored Nazis. They can deny it till they're blue in the fact, but it doesn't change the facts.

  • Im argentinian and i´m not peronist and what you are saying is wrong, Argentine economy during the peronist era grew up, it was not peron who harbored the nazis was the military government of Farrel, and USA harbored nazis too with those scientists USA created elements of torture and were founders of the CIA. peron ddnt stole from the rich he gave back to the people what the rich have stole from it Argentinas economy was ruined by menem and the military government of 1976

  • @Cheerioats just ignore people like that. They're evil and misguided. They'll never see the light until it's too late or they go to jail for their beliefs.

  • Interesting. I was always of the opinion that he represented the Argentinian people, because 'che' in in argentinian means: him or you, denoting that it could be anyone or apply to anyone. And since he plays various characters throughout the film I thought that he was used as a metaphor for that. But your theory is also interesting. That's what i luv about movies, stories etc : you can take out of it whatever you want/applies to you! ;-)

  • @avisval I really think you should look into Che a bit deeper. He was not what 'history' has portayed him to be.

  • know the name of the song you have written emergency

  • antonio is great dancer !

  • This is not the tango. They're dancing the waltz.

  • This tango is so sentimental! I like it! Antonio and Madonna dance with emotion and sensuality. Evita´s movie is one of the best musical ever filmed

  • the real eva peron did not dance the tango.

  • y alike you know :S

  • what?

  • didn't they dance to this tango in the film "True Lies" with Arnold Schwarzzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis?

  • yeah they did - a very good movie lol

  • si... ademas de perfume de mujer con al Pacino.

  • yeah the audio comes from True Lies and the pics from Evita. Good way to get past copyright laws but kind of pisses on ppl who were searching for scenes from Evita

  • Yes. And in Scent of a Woman.

  • Antonio you baaaaaaaaaaastard !! haaaaahhaa..

  • wat is this movie called?

  • The movie is EVITA

  • This movie was masterpiece. Madonna was brilliant in it.

This is one of the best parts of the movie.

  • Totally agree. Banderas, Madonna & fellow who played Peron combined to create this incredible film. Everyone I every lent the DVD to watch this for their first time, has ultimately bought it for their collection.

  • It' s a tango or vals?

  • Tango. called "Por una cabeza" composed by Carlos Gardel.

  • why did you do this why not just put the song that's actually sung while their dancing in the film???????

In the stage version of this film it's not actually a waltz it's an argument between the two character's mince the waltez

  • I agree with you. The original song is amazing.

  • This is the fantasy tango/waltz from the movie. It's MISNAMED!.

  • That tune comes from the film "True Lies" with Arnold Schawrtznegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. Brilliant film and catchy tune.

  • this tune comes frome carlos gardel, anda argentinian thay played tango in the XX century..

  • Carlos Gardel "Por Una Cabeza"

  • wt's this song?

  • wt's this song??
