  • Fischerspooner version is a vast improvement!

  • Best band ever.

  • Damn I wish I could see this band I can't tell you how much they have meant to me over and over again. Man, I have the original vinyl and thats priceless to me.

  • Can hardly recognize Lewis.

  • I read an interview were the band said "no one was allowed to leave" so the band should have stopped when Gilbert left..... in the same way the Stranglers should have stopped in 1990 when Hugh left. This sounds tired:( and the chemistry is gone!

  • They changed their name to WIR when Robert left... so why don't do it when Bruce left ?

  • @erixoff

    Because it was Bruce's idea.

  • yeah....they should have changed it to YR.....as in y r we still doing this!

  • saw thema few months back and they pulled it off better than this...this is a bit shocking :D sounds like a bunch of bitter old bastards beyond the stage of caring how their biggest hit that never was sounds.....

  • this song rocks more in the live version...

  • I was at this show! Sooo good!

  • I love this song too, and it is hard to listen to like this. In their book, the band members claim it was one of the only songs on the album 154 that was stream of conscious gibberish writing, yet the words are so powerful. "...Cause to live for, destroyed, was later based on fact". That gives me shivers!

  • I love the song....

but these days it sounds so bad when they sing it... pretty sad actually

  • This recording has poor audio but I can't fault the band. Not as great as the studio version but it would be great to see this band live. They're coming!

  • I love WIRE, but Colin seems not able to sing correctly this day.

It can come from a bad amplification on stage.

  • I agree, Wire seems to just be trying to make fame for themselves, what with releasing box sets of older material and their latest commercialized sounding album O47. I think that may be why Gilbert left, but that's just my thought.
